Off Duty Officers Inc

This company engages in deceptive marketing. Operations managers/ schedulers like Maegan Teague or Luis Prinado will try to deceive you into thinking that the Security Officers they will provide you are actually Off Duty Law enforcement officers, when in reality many of them are NOT even licensed to work as Security Guards! Some have even been caught smoking marijuana or drinking with tenants while working posts, some won't even show up to your property. Operations Manager Maegan Teague is very unprofessional, not even responding to inquires regarding the PPO of her company. Also note, former Vice President of Operations Doug Packwood and Retired Chula Vista Policeman was recently terminated from this company after it was discovers he would not bill clients for the time the assigned guards show up. In short, Please do not hire this company, many guards hire are either unlicensed or have criminal records such as DUIs, theft as this company does not conduct background checks.

Review: I contacted Off Duty Officers to inquire about booking an off duty police officer for some events that I organize. I never committed to using the service and they never sent an officer to any events and never provided any service whatsoever. On July 3rd, I was told that they coud only charge me for 10 event dates up front and partial payments would not be accpeted. I was also told that their officers are not Denver City Police Officers. Since their company does not provide City of Denver Police officers as I am required to have, I cannot use their services.

Since both of these things did not work for me, I cancelled my indication of interest in booking an off duty officer with their company on July y3rd before any services were rendered. This cancellation was put in writing and was followed up with a phone call. Even though I cancelled the servixe with the company on July 3rd they fraudulently charged my credit card $675 on July 7th for nothing. They never provided any services and we were not under any contractual agreement. They just notified me on August 7th that they charged illegally charged me $675 on July 7th. This charge is not valid, unauthorized and is not valid. This company is a bunch of scammers and they need to be investigated for credit card fraud.Desired Settlement: Refund the $675 and stop scamming the public.
