Review: On October 21, 2013 my office computer hard drive stopped working. I took the computer to PC Power for repair.The owner, [redacted], said he would need to send it to a lab where they could retrieve the files from the hard drive.The cost would be approximately $1200,if the lab could retrieve the files, plus $50 overnight shipping.I was told that if the lab could not retrieve my files, there would be no charge. In order to expedite the process, I could pay him the money up front, which I did. [redacted] also said it would take, at most, 7 to 10 days. After several MONTHS of constant calling and stopping in to his office to find out what was happening with my computer, and being told the lab was taking longer because they were backed up, or they needed to order some special part, or that he hadn't been able to talk to the lab, or .....I finally said I wanted my computer and my money back. [redacted] then told me he didn't have my money as he was just a small business and he needed to "keep the lights on". He would pay me some of the money in a week and then the balance the following week. He eventually made one payment of $500, but after repeated requests for the remaining $750, he has not refunded my money.Desired Settlement: Refund of $750 and the return of my hard drive.
