P2K Range Reviews (2)

Open late without apology. Penny wise and pound foolish. Customer service and customer satisfaction is foreign to them.

Review: 2/4 I purchased a [redacted] uzi 22lr rifle from p2k range. They sold me the rifle without a magazine and required me to return 10 days later to pick it up. The management refused to return my calls and were unavailable during this period for status updates requiring me to drive down an additional time to inquire. Drove down again to find they modified a 20 round magazine with hot glue and a bit of plastic as they could not find the legal 10 round magazines. First trip to the range the clip fell right off the magazine rendering it illegal as it was a poor job to cap the magazine (no floor plate, only hot glue to cap this mag to 10 rounds which is not a legal mod). Secondly the rifle was defective. After the first magazine was fired and dropped, installation of the second magazine would not allow the charging handle to return unless the magazine was dropped again and re-charged. P2K required me to include 2 of my magazines against my wishes with the return of this rifle back to [redacted] to repair and refused to provide me with a refund. I took photos of the rifle and magazines before delivery as I felt uncomfortable with this, though [redacted] (manager) required it to present a full picture of the issue to [redacted]. After 3 months, [redacted] sent back a new rifle stating that they did not have the parts to repair my rifle. P2K required me to wait another 10 days and pay $25 for a new DROS as it was a new rifle. I offered 2 suggestions, waive the $25 dros fee and start the 10 day dros (preferred) so I could get my rifle back, or refund me the full price of the rifle if they refused. [redacted] ran this by the owner and refused to drop the dros fee stating that there was no proof that the new rifle sent back was free from issues and that they wanted to be done with it. The owner authorized the refund, though they stated [redacted] returned my rifle without the magazines. I am now out a total of 7 40mi trips to date, own 5 mags to which I have no rifle to use them on, and am missing 2 magazines that P2K is liable for.Desired Settlement: Here is a breakdown of my trips to P2K (gas money spent):1. to purchase the rifle2. dros pickup3. inquire about status of my mag replacement as mgmt would not return my calls4. pick up mag5. have broken mag replaced6. repair drop off7. refund8?. missing mags? Each trip is 40 miles round trip (from Qualcomm center) at 17mi/gal. That equates to $72 in gas and my 2 mags i'm out that I need.I mentioned to [redacted] that I would like to be compensated with some free range time to which she refused coldly.

Response:

Please see the attached receipt for

verification of the customer's full refund. As stated in the customer's

concern, P2K was presented with 2

suggestions in order to remedy the customer's inconvenience. One

option was to waive the $25 DROS fee

and start the process of the 10 wait period and the other was to

refund the customer in full. The

customer requested a full refund at the onset of the issue and there was

no verification that the new rifle was

not defective .Therefore, P2K opted to refund the customer in full.

The multiple trips to the range and

loss of 2 magazines are the result of the consumer's insistence to

disregard to P2K's suggestions and policies.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The last statement from the seller in the reply on this case is a bold faced lie. I wanted my rifle back but on the return call from P2K when I requested action, [redacted] refused unless I paid an SECOND dros fee (they charged me already for the first defective rifle). This is what I thought was unfair and I requested to [redacted] for a waiver of the second fee. She refused and only offered

for a refund which I begrudgingly accepted, as I told her I WANTED my rifle, I just didn't think it fair to have to pay yet another $25 DROS fee to regain my property and kindly requested that they cover it. The refused and offered only for me to get a refund or pay another $25 fee and an additional 10 day wait to recover my replacement rifle. In the words of [redacted] "we have no way of knowing if the next rifle you get will be defective or not, so we have opted to just refund you your money and be done with it".

I accepted the refund, though under the condition that [redacted] return the magazines that I included with the rifle at time of drop off. Here is the details of that request:

When I dropped off the rifle, [redacted] required that, against my better judgement, we include 2 of my magazines with the rifle for the factory to use to test the rifle's defect. I did so but only after photographing the rifle, the drop off tag, and the two magazines that I was leaving with them while [redacted] looked on. They refunded me for the rifle, but refused to give me back these magazines.

In turn I have the magazine that came with the rifle at my house now... only problem is they illegally capped the magazine so it is not good for sale (and they shouldt have offered it to me with the rifle in the first place as it is illegal to cap a magazine in this way: they hot glued on a plastic tab that supposedly capped it to 10 rounds, though it fell off first use. They did this because they incorrectly purchased a 25 round version of the gun which was not california compliant, and they were not able to locate any factory 10 round mags so they tampered with the 25 round magazine to try to pass it off as such.

The problem is, they have my 2 factory mags which I paid 30 each for + $15 shipping and handling. I offered to [redacted] to return their magazine if they would return my two magazines pictured. [redacted] is refusing to return my property at this point. The requested compensation is either a return of my two magazines pictured along with the return of this illegal magazine they provided me, or a refund of $75 to cover the magazines ($30 x 2 + $15 shipping) with the return of their illegally modified magazine.

All I have done is request for my property back, though [redacted] is forbidding me from returning to the property and has banned me from entering the business grounds as he does not want to comply with my request.

Earlier in the month while I was working out replacement of my magazine they contacted he manufacturer to request a return of my magazines. They indicated that the manufacturer then only returned one magazine and that I could pick it up at any time. I then asked about replacement of their illegally capped magazine to which [redacted] indicated that I needed to give him a couple days to locate one. That Saturday I decided that I would just go to pick up the magazine and be done with it, chalking up the replacement of the illegal magazine as a loss. When I arrived at the store [redacted] had no idea where my magazine was and told me they would mail it to me when he was able to contact [redacted] called me Monday angered by my visit to the range on Saturday to collect my one magazine (that they told me was there) and restricted me from the property. Before he hung up the phone he told me he'd chalk the Revdex.com complaint up to a "loss". Without going in to detail if he meant he didn't care about the Revdex.com strike, or that he'd return my magazines he did not say before he hung up the phone.

What I request for compensation:

Due to [redacted]' requirement

of me to send the mags despite my better judgement (I had to include them for him to comply with the return of the rifle to the manufacturer),

and the fact that they took them from me from the store (picture

attachment as evidence of this exchange), I simply demand back what is

legally my property. Failure to do so and restricting me from stepping

foot on the property (during my last phone correspondance with [redacted] he told me that I was no longer allowed to step foot on the property due to the previously mentioned visit to the range to collect my magazine) is to be considered theft. If they reject this

simple proposal for return of my property I will be forced to look in to

a small claims court case as I have photo proof of my magazines left,

and the illegally tampered with magzine in my possession to prove that

what they initially sold me was not actually a California legal

magazine. Of course I hope they simply comply to save both of us the time to appear in court over the matter of two magazines.

Response:

It's unfortunate that P2K is addressing these issues again because we have already provided exactly what the customer originally requested, which is a full refund for the rifle and DROS. The customer attempts to cast P2K as liable for his multiple trips to the range but throughout this process he has failed to retain any verbal instructions that were given to him. Had he paid attention to the information provided, the customer's trips to the range would have been avoided.
