We had our basement done 4/Employees were prompt, however they were not considerate of our propertyI had to ask them to not walk through my flowerbedThey were trying not to walk around our Japanese Maple and wanted to go between it and the house insteadThey also placed buckets and other material in my flower bed in front of my porch, and continued to walk thru that flower bed walking on a decorative stepping stone breaking it into piecesAfter the team left, we found several food wrappers and straws in our yard/drivewayThis weekend we found our old sump pump along with the plastic piping and broken cast iron pipe sitting outside our basement doorWe would have thought they would have taken this material with themAlso, as a note, the team took out of the basement windows and used the one nearest the front of the house to take the concrete out of the basementWe were unaware this was being done and thought they would have used the stepsWe have never had these windows open/out and hope we do not have issues in the future when it rainsThere workmanship is fineThey just need to be more considerate of their customers propertyPottstown, PA

8/22/17In regards to the most recent inspection performed by Jim H*** on 8/18/17, visible mold growth was in the main basement on the floor joistsHowever, our company was not contracted to do mold remediation in that area of the basementWe did waterproofing in the main basement and waterproofing, encapsulation and mold remediation in the crawl spaceWhile visiting the home MrH*** used a humidity meter to measure the humidity levels in the basementHumidity levels exceeded the recommended level of between 30-50%According to our contract, section 12-F, as homeowner you are responsible for maintaining the correct level of humidityHigh humidity levels promote mold growthWe fulfilled our obligations as contracted-now the responsibility is on the homeowner.Although our company is not responsible for the mold growth, we propose to do the following in order to remediate this situation:Due to thinness of the floor in basement, PA Basement will seal the floorClean the mold in main basement area. All work will be completed free of charge. We recommend after this work is completed, homeowner purchases, on her own accord, a dehumidifierWe do not guarantee mold will not regrow without humidity controlIt is not PA Basement Waterproofing's responsibility nor obligation to complete this work but PA will in good faith.Jim HSecretary/Treasurer

As of 2/28/18, we have made contact with the customer and the owner of the company, [redacted], is going to the homeowner's property and meeting with him to come resolve this issue. I will send you an update Monday morning with what was decided between us and the customer. Thanks!

The measurements, entry door were ordered as requested. The custom size of the door takes longer to manufacture. We did attempt to install and paint the door but were informed by the homeowner that it needed to be powder coated, not painted. We scheduled the door for powder coating but the time...

frame did not work for the homeowner. We have refunded all of his money that was paid. We do apologize for the confusion and any inconvenience that this may have created.

The group of guys showed up on time and starting working pretty quickly after that. They put down carpets so they didn't destroy mine, setup a dust fan to keep the dust to a minimum, and put plastic up all the way to the ceiling of my basement, which was impressive. The only thing I didn't like was they didn't use earplugs while jackhammering which is a personal choice, just doesn't seem like a good choice. The whole process took two days for 59LF of pipe; the guys left somewhere around two the first day and came back on Saturday to concrete and do odds and ends. They did a really good job cleaning up when the job was finished and my basement looks great and so far so good on no more water on my basement floor.

We just had our basement waterproofed by PA Basement and I want to say what an amazing job they did. From the no-hassle evaluation and presentation to the actual job and through the final process of clean-up, I have to say that PA Basement exceeded our expectations. They did a great job of putting in a french drain, removing all of the debris, without causing a mess. They connected the sump pump to our outside downspout and they discovered a problem with the drainage. They came up with a fair and reasonable solution that was outside the scope of the original contract and they did a great job of solving the problem and returning our backyard and patio to it's original condition. Great job!

I am rejecting this response because:
The business is not providing factual information and is trying to place the fault upon the customer.
The contractor is providing false information to the Revdex.com.  The door that was ordered was not a custom size door, it was a standard [redacted] Classic Series Type C door.  Their website www.[redacted].com illustrates that this is a standard door.  Additionally, this door comes in four color choices: white, light gray, sandstone, and brick.  All of these doors are powdered coated.  I selected the white door when I signed the contract with the salesperson.  The salesperson indicated on the contract that the door to be ordered was to be white.  The delay in installation is at the fault of the contractor.  The salesperson called another representative from PA Basements who stated that the door should take only two days to be ordered.  The installer came 30 days later with a primed door that was in a factory sealed box.  The installer admitted that the box indicated that the door was white but it was actually primed.  The installer stated that they were going to to paint the door white and I explained that is not what the contract specified.  The installer stated that they could take the door and get it powder coated and be back within 7 days to install the powder coated door.  I refused to allow them to amend the contract to have a secondary company powder coat the door.  That company would have had to strip off the primer and then powder coat the door.  This process would have voided the one year warranty that [redacted] provides on all of their doors.
I have received a refund and hired a new contractor that is capable of ordering the right product as specified in the contract.  I am seeking PA Basement to pay the difference in installation for the new contractor.  PA Basement was contracted to install the door for $1550.  The new contractor is set to install the new door for $1800.  I am seeking PA Basement to pay the additional $250.

I was very impressed with the work this company did. From the sales rep Dave that met with us to the workmen, and the company owners who stopped over mid-job to check about a change in plans, everyone carried themselves professionally. So far so good in the basement!

Thank you PA Basement Waterproofing for helping me with my basement! I have been dealing with an ongoing problem for years!!! Contractor after contractor...no one could help! PA Basement Waterproofing knew exactly what to do! They were honest and did not try to sell me on something I didn't need to correct the problem. The crew wasn't just on time...he was early!!! Did the work...in and out in no time! No mess left behind either! In this day and age...what a blessing that a company is there to do the job and do it well! Thank you again for helping me with my problem.

Starting with a old stone foundation and a 1/2 inch concrete floor we had water running in the basement after even a minor rainfall. When Dave came to give us an estimate it was just after a really hard storm and the water would squirt up as he walked on the floor. A good day to show what we were up against.
After Dave told us what they would do to our basement and how they would do it we were not shocked at the price to do the job, and after it was done we know it was well worth it.
It has been 2 months since completion and a few rainstorms and now we have a dry basement. One minor issue was dealt with quickly and explained fully to us. They dug out enough that we don't have do bend over to walk in our basement anymore and cleaned up very thoroughly.
This was not an inexpensive job but we could not be more pleased with the results.

Thank you very much for the job that workers from PA Basement Waterproofing Inc. did in our crawl space and kitchen in our house in Pocono. It was full of mold. They fixed everything in less than a week. We were very impressed with their job. This is a very reliable company. They fixed, even more work than was in our contract. They also did a good job to clean up when work was finished. Special thanks to Scott F. M[redacted] and Jose. Now our house is clean and in perfect conditions. We recommend this company to everybody in need. Great job, guys!!!

Very fast, high quality work. The salesman was very clear about the inspection, possible solutions with pro/cons, and exactly what each option would cost. All the workers were friendly, and they took steps to make sure to close off the rest of the basement while they worked so it didn't get dusty, and put guards down on all the carpet from the door to the basement. Not the cheapest solution to our water issue, but I felt their solution was for the best, longest lasting solution and the quality of their work was great. I have no worries about my basement now. Their warranty covers more than the other companies we looked at as well. I would definitely hire them again/recommend them to others.
