Our company was not trying to extort money from the complainantThe intent of the discussion with the complainant was to say our survey is what it isWe cannot change what we surveyed or what we reportHowever, if something has changed on the property that leads the complainant to believe that
our survey would be different if we surveyed it again, then he could pay us to come back and perform the survey againIf he was correct our survey would reflect accordinglyThis discussion was in response to his question “Can you fix it?” We were not trying to tell him how to fix it we were only stating that we can only report what we survey.*** *** *** *** **

I am rejecting this response because: The response states if something had changed on the property that leads the me to believe that their survey would be different if they resurveyed and I paid them again. That was not told to me when I spoke with Seth.  I picked up the certificate a few hours after the survey so there was nothing that could have change on the property in that short amount of time. So there was no reason to suggest that he come back out to resurvey. My conversation with Seth did not include a resurvey after changes were made to the property. It was just resurvey with payment  to make "it right".  This is the reason I am saying he was trying to extort more money out of me whether the property  was going to pass or not.  He offered the resurvey with a beneficial outcome for payment without solution to the problem (the reason it didn't  pass). So he was going to take my money to make it right or just take my money.  Either way it is still bad business. He told me "I'm not supposed to tell you this" which to me implies there is some deceit that's why I made a complaint.

Review: My wife [redacted] set up service to have our residential property surveyed and to get a flood certification with [redacted] of Pace Engineering. All areas were above the flood plain except for one corner that was .2 of a foot below the flood plain. When I went to pick up the certificate I met with [redacted]. I asked him if he was sure these measurements were correct. He said yes. Then he said I'm not supposed to tell you this but you can pay us to come out and resurvey the property as if it did pass. I asked him what he was saying. He said what you're not getting it. I said I am here now can you fix it. He said no, am I not being clear. If you pay us again we can come back out and redo it as if it passed. My issue is now with the integrity of the work. Was it done improperly in order to extort more money out of me?Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund so that I can get the property resurveyed by another company.
