To Whom It May Concern, In response, attached is a better copy of the signed delivery receipt per the complainants request As well, we have passed along their concerns to the carrier and requested that the carrier remove the charges, unfortunately the carrier has rejected this request stating that the services were requested, and are dueWe have attached the carriers e-mail stating this Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do Kind Regards, [redacted]

Customer was charged extra for their freight being re classed by the trucking companyWe can only estimate a class based upon the information we are given over the telephone at the time, as we do not see the freight shipped, the carrier however is the one that sees itIf the customer was not up charged on previous orders with the same incorrect class, they should feel fortunate as every carrier does not catch a class correction, and that was to their benefit With that said, we have attached the agreement, this is the agreement the customer signed when they booked their freight order with us, this agreement gave us permission to charge their account for any associated extra charges, which was signed Unfortunately there is no remedy for this charge, as the customer did not provide any proof of dimensions to reduce the class change to a lower one Sincerely, [redacted] PAF

The cardholder/complainant has left out a few important details of the transactionPaf charged Ms [redacted] $based on her indicated information of lbs and class We can only provide an estimate of what the customer's freight can be based off of what information we receive from the customer, we do not see their freight, the customer and the carrier do With that said, we were given information that obviously was incorrect by the customer, when the carrier saw their freight it was much larger, which caused a re class from to The higher the class the higher the costThe increase in size caused an extra charge of $which the customer disputed with their credit card company saying it was un-authorized even though it was agreed to prior to booking that she would be responsible for any and all extra charges associated with her shipmentThe credit card company does not see it that way, so they issued her a creditOur contract is clear, if freight charges are not paid in full then all discounts are removed thus leaving a higher balance, Ms [redacted] was aware of this all along when she signed our agreement on lineThe attached invoice breaks down the what is owed with all discounts removed, the invoice is in collection and will remain there until it is paid in fullShould you have any further question please let me knowThank you, [redacted] Pacific Atlantic FreightCargo Insurance Division

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: If this "case" is only worth $to P.A.Fthen it is absolutely inappropriate for them to have hired a collections agency to harass both our us and our client, to collect over $1, If P.A.Fthought they had a valid claim for the $297, they could have continued the dispute process Instead the declined to respond, waited over months, then sent us to collections for $more than the original charge disputed This company did not send us monthly statements, or they would be in our email They are not They are not in spam, and they were not received in our inbox We responded to any and all emails they sent No monthly statements were sent This company provided us information we used to send a shipment, then charged us fees because incorrect information was used This company scams their customers, and scammed us out of over $1, Regards, [redacted]

If you look at the document attached, it only states that there was a limited access charge, it does not address the liftgate charge and the inside deliveryIf they are rejected the refund, you as the one who charged me, should do what is right and refund at least the amount of money that should be charged for those unrequested services[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

In response to complainant, not all carriers charge for limited access, its carriers discretion and locationThe complainant did sign our shipping agreement authorizing any associated charges incurred at time of pick up or
delivery
Lastly, the delivery receipt was signed accepting the limited access fee chargesPlease see that attached delivery receipt

We understand the customers frustration but cannot help any furtherIn response, the information we received from the customer is by telephone we do not see their freight, we can only suggest class/weight information based on what we receiveIf we receive incorrect information then the same incorrect information is submitted on our form by the customerFurther, we responded to the card company for the initial dispute/charge back, however when the case was submitted for arbitration we declined to pursue it only because it does not make good business sense to spend $to arbitrate a case worth $297.00, that is no admission of who is right or wrong The customer was sent monthly statements and did not respond, possibly they were trapped in some sort of spam filtering system set up by the customer.
That said, and lastly, the customer agreed to all the terms when our agreement was signed and our terms are very clear of what we can charge forShould you need back up documentation please do not hesitate to ask*** ***

To whom it may Concern,
The card holder/customers freight was delivered without exception on 10-31-page attachedCustomer indicated that business service was needed at time freight was booked, the actual delivery address was a residence with a lift gate, carriers
charge extra for residence delivery with lift gates, as per customers own admission on page page attached
As well by customers own admission on page 2, driver brought the goods into their garage, only curbside delivery is normalThere is an extra charge for this too
All three extra services were performed by the carrier and charges of $total are due in full and authorized in advance by the card holder, see page attached

In response, the carrier in this case is R & L Carriers, NOT UPS as the customer has described in their rejection response.
 
Unfortunately the carrier "R & L"  will not remove their accessorial charges in place,  as services were used.

I am rejecting this response because: If this "case" is only worth $297 to P.A.F. then it is absolutely inappropriate for them to have hired a collections agency to harass both our us and our client, to collect over $1,000.  If P.A.F. thought they had a valid claim for the $297, they could have continued the dispute process.  Instead the declined to respond, waited over 7 months, then sent us to collections for $700 more than the original charge disputed.  This company did not send us monthly statements, or they would be in our email.  They are not.  They are not in spam, and they were not received in our inbox.   We responded to any and all emails they sent.  No monthly statements were sent.  
This company provided us information we used to send a shipment, then charged us fees because incorrect information was used.  This company scams their customers, and scammed us out of over $1,000.00

The cardholder/complainant has left out a few important details of the transaction.
Paf charged Ms. [redacted] $387.71 based on her indicated information of 350 lbs and class 60.  We can only provide an estimate of what the customer's freight can be based off of what information we...

receive from the customer, we do not see their freight, the customer and the carrier do. 
With that said, we were given information that obviously was incorrect by the customer, when the carrier saw their freight it was much larger,  which caused a re class from 60 to 300. The higher the class the higher the cost.
The increase in size caused an extra charge of $297.45 which the customer disputed with their credit card company saying it was un-authorized even though it was agreed to prior to booking that she would be responsible for any and all extra charges associated with her shipment. The credit card company does not see it that way, so they issued her a credit.
Our contract is clear, if freight charges are not paid in full then all discounts are removed thus leaving a higher balance, Ms. [redacted] was aware of this all along when she signed our agreement on line.
The attached invoice breaks down the what is owed with all discounts removed, the invoice is in collection and will remain there until it is paid in full.
