Review: We had Pacific Roofing repair our flat area roof on our home in

2010. We trusted that they knew what needed to be done and could

fix it. The it raining during the 2010-2011 winter and it was

still leaking - which has caused damage to the interior and possible

mildew/mold. They did come out and did some kind of repair - They

stated there was a 2 year guarantee. When the 2015-2016 winter big

rain storm came it started leaking all over again- caused some additional

damage to the interior ceilings and down 1 wall. We called them to come out

about a month ago. a rep of theirs did come out but said he could not determine

where the problem was unless it rained- then he could come back and check locations.

It hasn't rained since then. We called our Insurance agent- they came out to check

out the interior damage - listed it around $2,300 and they gave us a check for

$800 approx. (Interior issues only less $1,500 deductible. We called and talked to

[redacted] Pacific roofing and she was adamant that she would not take care of

it under any kind of warranty- My real concern is that she didn't even make any

effort to see what she could do to help us @ all. We had an owner of another roofing

company in the area come out and look at it- He said we should give PAcific Roofing

a chance to fix it (He didn't think it would take much but did suggest a partcular

area and how it could be fixed. We tried to talk to [redacted] but she wasn't even interest

ed in listening. Sad - that she couldn't even listen or showed any willingness to

check out the issues.

In January of 2011 We went out and did a minor repair on the flat roof deck, as well as to the composition shingle tie in area, to this customers roof. The repair bid, as well as the invoice upon completion of the repair both stated that all work would be guaranteed for 2 years. The customer stated that we did come out once during the 2010-2011 winter season and make an additional repair under this guarantee. I do not have any records about this service call, due to the fact that this roof repair has been out of its guarantee period since 2013 and we only keep the records for 3 years. As this customer has clearly stated in there complaint and as you can see on our report that was sent to the customer, this repair was only guaranteed for 2 years, and we honored that guarantee. I did not hear from this customer for 4 years after the guarantee had expired, to state that there had been a problem with this repair, indicating that the work held out for 4 years past the 2 year period of guarantee, which was for a temporary repair. the customer contacted my company in January stating that the roof was leaking again, and that we should incur the cost of the repair work, under our original 2 year guarantee that was issued in 2011. I told her that it was our policy to cover repair work under our original guarantee period, but that should in no way be covered 4 years after the guarantee expired. When I last spoke to this customer, I declined to go out and give her a bid on any further repair work, as she was very hostile.
