SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!!
THIS IS A SCAM! Do NOT use unless you want to be ripped off! The number they gave me stopped working after the 1st day and they told me I could get a new number or a refund if I had any problems with my number I call them back the next day NO ONE answers or calls back I left multiple messages still no response! Will be sharing my experience with this company with ALL social media so people will share and don't have the same experience I have had with this company!

Having recently signed up with this company (with some trepidation as I live in England and literally Googled this type of service whereupon I made a choice to go with Pacific not knowing anything about them or having read any reviews beforehand - I went out on a limb and am so glad I did. Also, my loved one needed a local number within North Carolina USA so he can call me as cheaply as possible). I am absolutely astounded with the excellent quality of customer service, line clarity and speed of the set up which was all completed within a few days. There were more than a few issues to 'iron out' before everything began running smoothly which was no fault of Pacific but this rectified by email and direct phone contact from (the company owner) who worked for 2 solid hours trying to resolve a connection issue so both my home and cell phones rang simultaneously which means I should never miss my loved ones calls again. I thanked him profusely for both his and his staff's hard work and great customer service and he thanked me back for being such a valued customer! Not enough companies say thank you these days for giving them your trust AND MONEY so it was a welcome change.
It is early days being a 'Pacific customer' and my loved one has called me twice so far using the service. He is over the moon with the clarity of the line and the costs of the calls, as am I, so if the service continues to run as smoothly as it is now then I will be a long term customer...no questions asked! I paid $100 for set up and calls which reduced the price of the calls to 5c per minute ( the more you originally pay when setting up the service, the cheaper the calls are which is what I wanted ). I'm Very happy and have no intentions of leaving so long as everything stays the same. Highly recommended company!!! Thank you Pacific, you don't realize how much of a lifeline this is for both of us!! Keep up the good work!

Review: I contacted Pacific Telephone Company to set up an account with them after seeing their advertisement for low rates by giving me a local number. I was told the minimum fee would be $30 off of my debit card but that they would charge me only $1.25 per month in addition to 5 or 6 cents for each minute on every phone call. I was also told that a 15 minute phone call would be approximately 90 cents. I gave them all of the information they requested such as the debit card number, the expiration date of the card, and the security code on the back of the card. When asked how much I wanted to have withdrawn from the card, I chose the minimum amount of $30 because I don't plan on my loved one being there for much longer. Anyhow they promised me that they would try to get me a local number within 2 hours. Shortly after we hung up, I was called within 10 minutes. The same female representative I spoke with gave me a local Pennsylvania number which excited me because I was paying a lot before being that I reside in New York. I already had an account set up with OffenderConnect.com with my New York number but as I stated it was way too expensive. I was told that I wouldn't be charged the 6 dollar fee as I was before when my loved one called from prison now because I have a local number. However there is a charge of 6 dollars just for connecting the call. Or so I thought...so upon being confused, I decided to call back and couldn't get hold of ANYONE. They were just answering my calls but now that they took the money off, I'm not getting anything except for an automated message telling me to leave my name and number. I don't understand how all of a sudden no one is available when the representative had just told me that they would get me a local number within 2 hours. That means people are still working in the call center. I smell something fishy...I left my name and number twice and have yet to be called back.Desired Settlement: I would like for someone to contact me right away or else I would like my money back!

My staff and myself have spoken to this customer at length regarding this issue. She was charged $30.00 for the phone service and provided a phone number, 10 MINUTES AFTER SHE ORDERED IT! Try getting that from Verizon or Sprint! No one charged her credit card anything that was unauthorized.

When she called back and was not able to reach a Customer Service Representative, it was 9:00 PM and our office was closed. I am not aware of ANY phone company that answers its phone at 9:00 PM

AT&T stops answering there customer service lines at 6:00 PM

After a careful review of this matter, I believe we handled this customer and her issues in a proper timely business manner.

Review: I had $25 charged to an account in PayPal for phone service to my son in jail. They were not able to get me connected. Although Larry Levine, whom I e-mailed and spoke to on several occassions, tried, it was never successfully connected so my calls could be cheaper. He told me if not able to connect, he would refund my money. He seemed very helpful until I have asked repeatedly for a refund to my account. Now he will not respond to my e-mails, nor will he refund my money.S. LeeDesired Settlement: Refund to my card is all I ask.

Pursuant to the customers prior Email request, a full refund has already been issued! As with all credit cards, it takes a few days for it to show up on their statements. This customer never called in to speak with anyone about her refund!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9549664, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I did not call because he and I were e-mailing as well as talking and when I asked for a refund by e-mail, I suddenly received no response at all. All that had to be said was it was being refunded. I felt I suddenly had no response because I was asking for a refund. Just an acknowledgement was needed. Thank you for the quick reply.
