Hello

I have been waiting for payment from Palm Research since Aug 7th 2014. It states pending but has never been sent- Total $ 10.52.

I also have approved surveys $ 16.61 , giving a total unpaid amount of $ 27.13.

I have sent emails but got no reply.

I can send you details of my account.

Please reply.

Thanks

Steve

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The payment due from FOUR-YEARS ago was finally sent and received via PayPal, the interest accrued was NOT received. I possess full documentation the minimum payment threshold was reached at that time and was confirmed to be paid out 4-years ago by [redacted]. Even at that time there was much delay as the final survey completed to meet the threshold was intentionally withheld to avoid payment. After several emails in demand, [redacted] FINALLY agreed to issue payment but never did.
At that time there were also several "unprofessional" emails from [redacted] received refusing payment along with insisting I file legal action (over $10) because they're sure to win.  In 2010, 2011, 2012 there was a multitude of exchange in emails with [redacted] and [redacted] insisted on legal action against them along with filing with the Revdex.com and Attorney General.
As described in the complaint, a simple Google search will return countless negative comments over many years against Palm Research.  If [redacted] truly intended to act in good faith and was factual he runs an ethical company, not only would payment had been made 4-years ago, but at this later date [redacted] would had additionally compensated for the described incident(s) herein whether by intent or by error.
Regards,[redacted]

Hello. I have researched your account and have found that the first...

survey completed through Palm Research was completed on 1/12/2010. Here is the detail of your account activity:
[redacted]
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, under the "Earnings and Payment" section (which you electronically agreed to by clicking/checking the appropriate box):
"...
Payment shall be issued to member if 1) account has reached minimum payout threshold of $10.00, 2) all surveys completed by member are finalized, 3) 45 days has passed from the end of the month in which the member reached the threshold, and 4) all account information is accurate and up to date.
Under no conditions (circumstance, incident, situation or otherwise) will payment be issued to a member before the threshold has been reached.
..."
This is also re-iterated in our Knowledge base, which every member has access to in their member dashboard area:
"...
- What is the threshold (account minimum) for payment?
The minimum your account must have is $10.00. Once your account reaches that amount, your account is scheduled for payment.
- When are payments made?
Payments are made on a net 45 schedule. This means that payments are sent 45 days from the end of each month that your account reaches or exceeds the payment threshold.
- Can you give me an example of the payment schedule?
If the balance in your account reaches or exceeds $10.00 in the month of January your payment will be sent on March 15th. If you reached $10.00 or more in Febraury you would be sent a payment on April 15th, and so on.
..."
As you can see from your completed survey list (above) and the running balance I provided, you did not reach the payment threshold of $10.00 until you completed your most recent survey on 2013-12-29. While we were delayed in making payment, which would have been approved/issued Feb. 15th, 2014, I did run the payments on April 15th, 2014 and your account was scheduled to be paid as you were now above the required threshold. I have checked Paypal and a payment, in fact, was not made and I do apologize for that. I will rectify that situation and make payment accordingly.
As for the other issues you have stated:
"...Registrants are NOT paid for every survey completion as stated..." - Yes, in fact they are. We have been in business since early 2008 and have paid all eligible accounts for surveys that our clients have deemed as good and qualified as completed/finalized. If a client deems a survey as incomplete or fraudulent for any reason, we don't get paid for that, and in turn, we will not credit the member.
"...Palm Research unethically retains 100% of earned moneys..." - Palm operates on a very thin margin for our daily surveys, so that is just outright untrue. In fact, I have record of every payment we've ever made, as any business would, and have logged over 20,000 payments to our members and affiliates.
"...Whence learned in of their unethical and dishonest business practices in 2010 I opted to cashout the earned balance of my account $10.60 (to be sent via PayPal)..." - Again, your account, as shown above, did not become eligible (above the $10.00 threshold) until 2013-12-29, as the balance was $9.50 up to that point, and the survey completed on 2013-12-29 for 1.10 took you to the amount of $10.60.
As for you sending emails to Palm Research, I have checked my inbox dating back quite some time and find no emails from [redacted]". Palm Research also provides a user interface within the member dashboard that allows private messages to be sent directly to me ("Admin"), and I see no messages from your member number, which would be logged automatically.
Lastly, [redacted] is no longer associated with Palm Research, in any way, as of May 1, 2013, and my first name is "[redacted]", not "[redacted]".
Again, I apologize for you not receiving your payment of $10.60 on April 15th, 2014 as your "Payment Approved" email stated. I have made that payment (PayPal Unique Transaction ID [redacted]oday.
I have also marked your account as "Do Not Mail", similar to you clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in survey opportunity emails that are sent to you. I have left the account status as "Active" so you can log in and check on anything you may need to check on. If you would like to close your account, please send me an email at [redacted]
Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention, and I hope I have addressed all concerns you have brought up in your complaint.
Sincerely,

Review: [redacted] and [redacted] run an online survey company under the name of "Palm Research Paid Survey Panel" (www.palmresearch.com). Consumers register by completing a brief online demographic form and then are sent survey invitations by email or can log in to their website to find available surveys. The registrant is paid for completion of each survey. Whence a minimum balance of $10.00 is earned, the registrant can request payment sent to their registered Paypal account. Palm Research retains a portion of the earnings for profit. Registrants are NOT paid for every survey completion as stated, whereby Palm Research unethically retains 100% of earned moneys (see history or years of online complaints), and in this case NOT PAID for any surveys completed. Whence learned in of their unethical and dishonest business practices in 2010 I opted to cashout the earned balance of my account $10.60 (to be sent via PayPal). No payment was received. I continue to send emails to Palm Research including the threat of legal action. Palm Research either ignored the emails or responded in an extremely unprofessional manner. No payment was ever received. Then nearly FOUR-YEARS LATER, I receive the following email from Palm Research yet NO PAYMENT HAS EVER BEEN RECEIVED. Follow up emails were sent to Palm Research and as usual NEVER answered.

From: Palm Research [email protected] Date: Mon, Apr 14, 2014 at 5:41 PM Subject: PR Payment for December 2013 Activity To: ---- [email protected] -----, Your payment in the amount of $10.60 has been approved and is being processed. Please allow additional time for your payment to be completed.. Thank you again for your time. Don't forget, you are a valued member of our panel! Sincerely, Palm Research 501 W. Broadway, Ste. A-381 San Diego, CA 92101 [email protected] Settlement: Payment due in full from 2010 in the amount of $10.60 plus interest to date paid in full sent to my registered Paypal account on file, AND compensation for FOUR-YEARS in time actively spent in collection. Proof Palm Research has withdrawn from any and all like or similar online business and or websites but not limited to due to its lengthy history of illegal and unethical business practices.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I possess full documentation the minimum payment threshold was reached at that time and was confirmed to be paid out 4-years ago by [redacted]. Even at that time there was much delay as the final survey completed to meet the threshold was intentionally withheld to avoid payment.
