Review: [redacted]Pet sitting services were retained for 1- 19year old cat, requiring medication twice daily on dates: 12/23/14-12/24/14. Payment was made in full via personal check (check was cashed on 12/8/14 @ 1123am), contract for services was signed by both parties on 12/8/2014 and house key was given to "[redacted]". Agreement in contract was for $19.00/visit x 4 visits for total of $76.00. Pet was to receive 2 visits 12/23/14 and 2 visits 12/24/14, with each visit lasting 30minutes.According to home security system time stamps, the first visit was made 12/23/14 from 11:05am until 11:14am. No further activity has been noted on security system and at 2103pm [redacted] was contacted via text message to verify if another visit was planned for the day, and if not a discussion for money already paid was necessary and other arrangements would need to be made if she was not able to fulfill her contracted duties. [redacted] stated her dog had to be euthanized suddenly - this was the first and only notification given to me, after contacting her first. When asked repeatedly when she would be returning to care for my cat she stopped responding. I then asked for the key and money paid upfront to be returned immediately.On 12/25/14 @ 2220pm a text message was received stating she could not refund the money because I cancelled her services. I also have not received my key.Desired Settlement: Refunded money. Formal complaint filed against "[redacted]" for negligence of an animal and public notification of poor business practices. Further investigation into current business practices.
