Review: First I went to show my Bmw 650i custom wheels to hardcore coating shop in Ceres/pam's mobile ag welding in Ceres ca. To get Powdercoating quote. Since I had them painted black before but the paint was chipping off .I spoke to" [redacted]" he gave me a price but was concerned about rivets around the wheels so he called his son Eli to look at them.. They both agreed that the wheels could be powder coated safely,If I removed the rivets.. They said " no problem we Powder- coat anything" so I did what they asked me went home & removed the rivets. I dropped of the wheels the next day when he was done with them I go back to pick them up and besides the horrible powder coating job that he did, he had very badly warped all four wheels .. First he admitted it was his fault and that he would pay for them .. But after his son Eli calls me screaming yelling and disrespecting me. not taking responsibility for the damage of the wheels ..so I send [redacted], his dad a message to see if he was going to take care of them and he also wouldn't take responsibility.. He was trying to make me sign a waiver to take the wheels.. If not he said he was going to dump them in the metal scrap bin.Desired Settlement: I will like to have them replace my wheels and pay for another shop to paint my wheels back how they originaly wore when I took them to the shop..+ have them mounted and balanced and installed to the car

Response:

Mr. [redacted] presented himself to our shop, requesting to have wheels powdered coated because of sub-par painting. There were many concerns on my part, so I turned them over to our powder coating specialist ([redacted]). [redacted] told him the rivets had to be removed, and that Mr. [redacted] should contact the manufacturer about the rivets, to see if they could be powdered coated. We do this so that the customer hears information directly from the manufacture not from a third party like us. [redacted] then instructed Mr. [redacted] to talk to only him upon return when he brought the wheels back. I was not aware of the conversation between Mr. [redacted]’s and [redacted] upon his return to the shop with the wheels. He presented the wheels, and with his broken English, he instructed me to have them powder coated. I found out after they were powder coated what instructions [redacted] had given to Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] relayed, after the fact that, he had contacted the manufacturer and was instructed by them, that they should be the only ones who should powder coat these items. Mr. [redacted] stated that he thought that we should have known what should have to be done. We understand Mr. [redacted]’s plight, but if he was told that the manufacturer was the only ones who should powder coat his wheels, he should have heeded their advice. [redacted], after in talking to Mr. [redacted]’s fellow employees, was told that they were setting with Mr. [redacted] when the wheel company told him not to have someone else powder coat them. We, as a company are very sorry that this happened, and will work to ensure that issues like this will not happen again. We have discussed with all employees that better communication needs to occur when dealing with customers.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: The only concerns with the wheels according to [redacted] and [redacted] were the rivets on the wheels so I removed them.they never instructed me to ask the wheel manufacture if the wheels can be powder coated,Mr. [redacted] and [redacted] both told me that they can powder coat these wheels no problem, they both said they powder coat wheels all the time.so I trusted what I thought was a professional advice.. After they warped my wheels [redacted] admitted to sand blasting the wheels to hard and repeatedly putting them in the oven a number of times.. Using profanity [redacted] basically admitted to damaging the wheels, he told me that he would make it right. The options [redacted] gave me was to take the wheels at no charge and sign him a waiver,or he would buy me new wheels ..so I made the choice to have him buy me new wheels.after [redacted] and [redacted] talked among themselves and made up a story.[redacted] called me with his loud and vulgar language blaming me for the wheels that they had damaged... I tried contacting [redacted] a number of times but he told me not to text him anymore.. I b[redacted]eve all professionals should have a good judgment of their capabilities, I understand that everybody makes mistakes, but I b[redacted]eve in fixing the mistakes. I don't b[redacted]eve disrespecting A customer using profanity is the way
