This is the amount he references in his letter ($168.00 + $65.00). Review: My wife and I purchased a Club Car golf cart about a year ago from a neighbor. We have always had our cart inspected and serviced every year so we called the local Club Car sales and service dealer. We talked to [redacted], an employee of [redacted], and asked about an annual inspection/service on the cart and also a problem we were having when accelerating from a stop. Everything finished, they picked up the cart on October 7th.

[redacted] kept us informed on a daily basis. From their inspection, they found a problem with the battery (Corrosion and cables- $73.00), annual service ($90), fix the delay when the accelerator ($170.00).

[redacted] had called and said they could not fix the accelerator problem and tried to explain what they did (I must admit, I had no idea what she was saying).

Then she said she had checked the paperwork and found an entry that said an hour of labor (a $65.00 charge I had no knowledge of) had to be added to the bill. [redacted] returned the cart on October 14th. The driver, from [redacted] had the exact same problem with the acceleration as when they took the cart in.

I am very upset with [redacted]. I called [redacted] about the $65 and the acceleration. She kept talking about the Controller that was going bad ($700 plus for a new one). I kept talking about the inspection and asking why the diagnostic computer didn't say the part was bad.

I waited a few days and an employee named [redacted] called and left a message. I

called him back and, he too, explained why the accelerator didn't work properly.

I listened. I told him I wanted (at least) the $65.00 back. He said he would talk to the owner. A few days went by without [redacted] calling me back so I called again. I spoke with [redacted] for a few minutes and he put me on hold. "This is [redacted]." I asked, "Who are you?" She identified herself as the owner. She offered to work with the $65.00 when I got the new controller was installed. I said, again, I wanted the $65.00. Then the owner said she had to talk to [redacted], the employee and would call me back. That exchange was on October

22nd.

So [redacted] told me they could fix the accelerator problem for $168. Then they added $65. Then they didn't fix the accelerator problem blaming it on another part they claimed was bad. Then [redacted], an employee couldn't

authorize reimbursement of the $65 and turned it over to the owner. The owner had to consult with [redacted] the employee. They never did call me back. This is very, very strange. Unless... Unless they were taking me for senile old man that would accept what they were telling me and give up.Desired Settlement: I want the $168 AND the $65.00. I am also going to find Club Car's home office and let them know how they treat customers, especially elderly couples.
