Paradis Pools Reviews (2)

Review: On or around September 3, 2013 we hired Paradis Pools to perform a pool closing on our above ground pool. My mother went to Paradis Pools office to drop off check to pay for services. While she was at Paradis Pools, my mother called me to ask if I had any questions for Paradis Pools before she paid for the service in advance. At that time she handed her cell phone to someone at Paradis Pools and I spoke to a man who was there at the time. I asked him if Paradis Pools would remove my "wedding cake style" above ground pool ladder when closing the pool. He replied "yes, no problem". My mom then paid for the services in full and scheduled a pool closing. When the men arrived a day or two later, I was home and observed them closing the pool. When they removed the ladder from the pool, one of the ladder legs got caught on 2 of the top caps to the pool causing damage to the top caps. When I approached one of the men closing the pool to discuss the damage, he became very angry and basically told me it was my fault that ladder damaged the pool because it was so heavy. I informed him that I was told it wouldn't be a problem when I booked the service. I then said that I wanted new top caps to replace the ones that were broken. He told me that my pool was discontinued and he wouldn't be able to do anything for me. When the pool closing was complete and one of the men calmed down, he came up to me and said he would look around the shop and see what he could find. They left shortly after that. I called the office at Paradis to inform them about what had happened during the pool closing. The woman I spoke to assured me that someone would follow up with me. As of November 8, 2013, I have yet to hear anything back and would like this resolved.Desired Settlement: I researched the internet and found the company that makes parts for my pool. Their name is [redacted] and are located in [redacted]. I emailed them inquiring about replacement parts.I would like 2 caps to be ordered and replaced on my pool. To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is in

response to the complaint filed by [redacted]

We are not sure how this was overlooked,

but we will certainly replace the caps for Mr. [redacted]’s pool. Our concern is that since this pool has since been discontinued,

the caps Mr. [redacted] has found may not work for this pool. However, we will

order the caps from the company using the contact info and part number provided

by Mr. [redacted].

On the day we

closed the pool, the installers moved the cracked caps to a less visible

location under the deck. This was a

solution we thought Mrs. [redacted]t (Mr. [redacted]’s mother) was happy with. If the parts from [redacted] do not work we

will have no choice but to leave the cracked ones in the less noticeable location

under the deck.

We would also

like to note that when Mrs.[redacted] came into the store she told us she needed

her “wedding cake steps” removed, and pointed to a picture of a set of steps we

sell. The set of steps we sell comes in and out of the pool very easily and

this is what we thought we would be working with. Upon arrival to the pool closing, the set of

steps in the pool were not wedding cake steps, but an entry system weighing

close to 300 pounds. Had we know this we would not have agreed to the

pool closing, but none the less, we will take care of this issue.

Sincerely ,

Consumer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: 8/25/14We called Paradis Pools LLC to move an existing 13,000 gallon pool from a location next to us to our residence. Paradis pools ordered the liner with a 5 year warranty on the liner from rock protrusions. We also asked if they would use the existing foam padding, and the owner said no, the last one they tried to use was tearing as they tried to take it up and more duct tape was used than padding, and tried selling their foam bottom, we declined. On 6/20/14 two men showed up and moved the pool in one day! When we went swimming the next day we noticed rock protrusions in various spots on the bottom of the pool liner. My wife then told me she thought they were not using enough of sand when installing the pool and asked the men if it were enough of sand and they said it was plenty. We are concerned about the 5 year warranty on the liner as the install was not properly done. We also noticed a deep indentation in the liner on the side of the pool as if the sand spilled out,and the sides of the pool are crooked, and the filter was sinking into the ground, and the base for the filter we purchased from them was warped. Also we went back to the site they removed the pool from and they had left the old liner and the foam bottom which was in perfect condition and could of been used to help from rock protrusions. We emailed Paradise Pools with our concerns on 2 separate occasions with no response to either email. So for $6,200 we ended up hauling the old liner to the dump, a perfectly good foam base not being used, and a rushed, poor installation with rocks protruding into the liner the very next day of the install.Desired Settlement: Since nobody replied to our emails, we wanted to ask the warranty for the liner be honored life time from protrusions, and if punctured, Paradis Pools LLC pay for a new liner to be installed by the contractor of our choice including a foam bottom, labor and water.

Response:

Hi, the complaint I have filed against Paradis Pools #[redacted] has been addressed. The person who installed the pool came out on 8/26/14, and filled the indentation by the filter with sand, walked around in the pool and assured me, the protrusions were little clay chunks and not rocks as he just crushed them with his toe, and there is plenty of sand and we are in good shape. He did comment he was a little concerned the sand was still soft where the walk way was installed.

I would like to change the status of the complaint as addressed, but would still like to keep the complaint and this email on file please, thank you, [redacted]

Please let me know the status of this matter. Thanks again
