Company states: We have big signs on both sides that say we do not cover or warranty any used tires

I am rejecting this response because:a few days after we picked up the car, the engine light came on, and we brought the car to [redacted] for a diagnostic check. [redacted] found two problems: Evap. system leak (gross leak) and brake switch malfunction. We feel that the business didn't do a complete job with the car because the car is still having problems. Therefore, we will decline on paying the remaining amount of $190 to the business.

Business states that consumer came to shop to replace the water pump. After the installation of the water pump, the car would not start. Business found the head was damaged. The cause of the damage was unknown but the business went ahead and looked into the issue as courtesy to the customer....

Business went ahead and replaced the head absorbing the cost of labor along with the partial cost parts. In the end, business tried to get customer to provide $450 as fair cost for the repair. Consumer only gave $260, leaving the business to absorb $960 for the work done. At this point business would like to request that consumer provide the remaining $190 that was asked for as the expense is too big for the business to absorb.

Review: On 7/28/14 I went into this business to have 4 new tires installed. I was greeted by the owner, who was very nice, and he quoted me $75/tire installed, so $300 total. He explained that he had no employees working that day so if I could come back the following day to have them installed, so I agreed. I returned at 10:30am on 7/29/14 and had to look around the premises to find an employee, because no one was in the office. I met with the owner's son and I told him what I wanted done. He had another employee get right on it, but an hour and half past before 4 tires where installed in my car. I thought it would be much quicker, since I was the only customer at the time. When it comes time for me to pay, I was shown an invoice for $320, $20 more than what I was quoted the day before. I explained this to him and he wasn't able to give me a reason why I was being charged $20 extra. I agreed to pay that amount. Once I pulled out my debit card he proceeded to tell me if I used my card, it would be 7% additional charge. I argued that no signs where posted saying such a thing and he replied, "well I'm telling you now" and offered for his employee to take me to an ATM to get cash to avoid the extra 7%. Do I look like a fool to have a complete stranger drive me to the ATM. No! In addition, I argued that I should be receiving a free alignment service, which is offered on their website. The employee said look and pulled up his company's new website. I then went on my phone and showed him the website I was referring to, which is his company's website and said look it says it right there, FREE ALIGNMENT WITH 4 NEW TIRES. He replied, that's our old website. Well it's still up, so you should honor it, but he refused. Never will I return to this business.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the 7% I was charged for the use of debit card and the $20 I was charged extra.

Review: the mechanic claimed he performed a front wheel alignment. Yet, the car still veers hard right.

The vehicle was taken for a front wheel alignment with Paradise repair and tire shop. The mechanic agreed to perform the wheel alignment for $40. Then, the mechanic attempted to up-sell more recommended repairs. When I decided not to accept the recommended repairs, he became upset and wanted to just charge for a diagnostic. Then he agreed to do the front wheel alignment but it appeared like he just feinted doing the service and wasted more time than usually needed for that kind of service. Finally, he charged an additional $5.

The vehicle still veers hard right when driven which indicates that there was not even an attempt to align the wheels.

When I made contact over the telephone the mechanic claimed that the service was performed and that if I had made the recommended repairs then the car would not veer. Furthermore, the mechanic stated that if I brought the car back for the repairs he would give a discount. Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed since the mechanic did not do what he agreed to do. I do not trust that shop to take the vehicle back for further

Review: Paradise Tire sold me a used tire that literally went flat the same day. The service representative also said that the tire would cost $30 but I was charged $41.xx. This business should either be shut down or should provide a refund for their product that was obviously defective from the start.Desired Settlement: I either want a brand new tire or a full refund for the frustration of a faulty product.

Review: My car was overheating. I took it in to get the water pump replaced on November 4. I bought a new water pump that I purchased from [redacted]. I gave it to the owner to install. He gave me a price of $200, and promised to get it done in the evening of November 4. When I got there, he finished putting everything together. I asked the mechanic if it was timed, and he replied yes. When he started it, it didn't start. I told him it was not timed. And he claimed he timed it, and the mechanic had the owner try to turn it over. I told the mechanic, "Hopefully you didn't damage the head."Then they told me that they will check the car and let me know what happened. I returned to the shop the following day. The owner told me that he's going to get another mechanic to come on Monday, November 10. I told the owner that my wife and I had plans to go to Sacramento that weekend. He offered to lend me a truck. I denied his offer because trucks are not fuel efficient. Then I told him that I'm going to rent a car and he could reimburse me. He didn't agree to pay. We still had to rent a car through [redacted] and paid $107.When we called him back on November 10, the owner told me that the head has been damaged, and he's going to take it to the machine shop to get it fixed. He gave another promise that we will have the car back on Wednesday, November 12. They called me on Wednesday to let me know that the car will be ready on Thursday, November 13.On Friday, November 14, I went over there and they bought a new head for the car. Then they told me again that the car will be ready on Monday, November 17. He asked me how much I was going to pay him. I replied that I will not pay him anything because of the inconveniences that I experienced. He wanted me to pay him $600 to pay for the head and for installing it. I told that it wasn't my fault that he damaged the head.I ended up paying $260. He gave me back my car BUT WITH NO WARRANTY. I feel that because of the inconveniences, I should've paid anything!Desired Settlement: Refund for the rental car and the $260 I paid.
