I am rejecting this response because:
I did not choose a "lavish" hotelWhat I did choose was a "lavish" home to celebrate my birthday week with my husband and children which ended up being a nightmare
We had no choice at 8pm but to move our children
to a hotel that was available that could accommodate us which required bedrooms and a small kitchenetteI don't know one person that wouldn't
immediately take action and move their family from an unhealthy place, especially after getting a doctor's diagnosis of bed bugs.
Just so you know, when I spoke to your manager while we were at urgent care, she said she never remembers of ever having any ants or bugs in the house and never having to spray for anything, then you tell me that you sprayed once the day before we arrived, now on your comment here you said "we sprayed two times in January"We have video that we have shown to numerous people and all can say those are not antsThey are white and smaller than an antWe never received your letter of reimbursing us $so we are completely unaware of that until we read your statement in response to our complaint.
We have paperwork from the urgent care doctor stating that those are bed bug bitesThe people prior to us could have stayed in any of the numerous bedrooms and not in the bedroom that my son
was sleeping inThere were around beds in the entire house, the owners never asked which bedroom my son was sleeping inLike I said, they could care lessWe have pictures to prove the bed bug bites on my son's body and on my husband's footWhen we googled what the bites are supposed to look like, some pictures looked the same as the bites my son and husband had and I even emailed a picture of a random person in comparison to my son's and husband's bitesThe owners denied that as well as the video of the unknown bugs on the stove topI would never rent from these people again, nor recommend themEveryone we know has heard of our story, including our personal physician and is mortifiedHow can someone be so cruel knowing that a year old had to endure crying and scratching all night long on that TueseveningWe just do not feel that we should pay for any of the nights since our son was sleeping among bedbugs and the kitchen was infested with these strange white insectsThis is not how you conduct businessIt was filthy and disgusting knowing that our family was sleeping in such a homeRenters beware! There are other rentals out there, do your homework or ask for references before renting from anyone!

Review: We decided to get away from the cold winters of Minnesota and feel some warm sunshine while celebrating my birthday with my husband and children at the end of Jan. 2014. We thought it would be wise to rent a home with more space for the same price it would cost us to stay at a hotel. We googled rentals in Ft. Lauderdale and came across Paradise Vacation Homes and decided to rent what cosmetically looked like a gorgeous home instead was a complete dirty and bug infested nightmare. We rented this home from Sunday-Friday morning and on Tuesday we found strange bugs that were crawling all over the stove top and kitchen counter so we took video of these bugs. Later that evening my 4 year old son began crying all night long saying that he could not stop scratching and my husband decided to comfort and sleep with him that evening. The next day (Wed) I woke up with a terrible upper respiratory cough and my son had bites all over his body. We decided to go to Urgent Care and what we thought were mosquito bites, were actually diagnosed as bed bug bites all over my son's body and my husband's foot since he slept with him. The owners denyed any of this even though we texted and emailed pictures proving this. We then had to find a hotel at 8pm that evening, wash our clothes in scorching hot water, move our family (2 children under the age of 6) to a hotel at 10pm with no one having had dinner yet. We were in panic mode to get out. The owners in writing said they would give us hotel compensation which we have never seen. They had an exterminator come in claiming nothing was found the very next day meanwhile, they never asked what room out of the 6 bedrooms we were all staying in. The day we moved in was the day people moved out and after speaking with a doctor, he said, it could have been the people that left prior to us moving in carrying the bugs. We also emailed pic's of what looked like a blood stained comforter. Never rent from these people, they do not care about their customers, we want a full refund!Desired Settlement: The remaining balance of the rented price: $1,236The compensation as promised for our hotel expense of $1,325.34 for which we stayedWed. night and checked out Friday morning (2 nights)Total: $2,561.34
