When I first was looking into this company, I looked at the rating they had on here as they were Revdex.com accreditedIt read an A+ and I didn't look much more into it because if people had problems then it wouldn't be an A+ I thoughtI worked with a very pushy sales personHis name was Brad JohnsonWhen we were talking in the beginning on the phone he was very aggressive saying to me that if he was able to get the pricing we were looking at would I email him stating it and giving him my word that I would work with his companyI felt very strange at this request because of how he was making me feel as multiple times he repeated the same wordingI felt like he was being emotionally abusive to try and get me to say yesFinally I said that if he could get the % promised with all the closing cost added in to not be more than $***,*** then I would go with his companyHe came back to me saying that he had done the "shame walk" to the VP's office and that the VP did something that he hardly ever doesHe said that he waived the fee for the appraisal and the cost was still coming out almost over what we had agreed uponIn the paperwork I was reviewing it showed the appraisal fee of $When I called to question him about this he told me that he did not say that and he would have never said that! He said at first I was wrong and then later said that I had misunderstood once I repeated back the exact wording he had said to me in the prior conversationIf I questioned anything he got very sharp and talking me down as if he had no respect for women and felt they were not importantHe promised in emails that he would not give us a quote, he would give us exactly what he could doI was looking through the paperwork online and things on the uniform application did not at all match the same information on the loan estimateWhen I called him he got quite upset and said that I was acting like this paperwork was set in stoneI let him know that I was quite aware that things fluctuate as they got the payoff amount and other numbersI also saw that the taxes were said to be in escrow and when I questioned him about it he replied angrily that I was wrong and he made sure that it was not in escrowI calmly referred him to the page where it clearly stated that YES it was in escrowHe said that it was a mistake but to go ahead and sign the papers as is and he would fix it afterI was not comfortable signing papers that were incorrect He made me feel inadequate as a person and like I knew nothing about what was going onI am a VERY educated person and knew exactly what was going on and he was rude and lost my business
I am sad to see the customer reviews don't seem to affect the rating! If I had scrolled and looked at the customer reviews and saw positive, neutral and negative, I would not have looked into anything further If this is what an A+ rating means from the Revdex.com then the Revdex.com is not representing this company correctly:(

If you are smarter than me, you are reading this before you agree to anything, and then will chose not to use Paramount Equity Mortgage! With an interest in possibly refinancing my home, I took a call from Erin M*** on Friday July 28, After hearing what she had to say and feeling confident that I was dealing with a very professional person, I foolishly gave her the info she needed so that we could see what she could offer meI say foolishly because I gave her my SSNI never do that, but got caught up in the possibility of working out a good refi optionErin said she would get back to me in half an hourThree business days later she not only hasn't gotten back to me, I have left many voice mail messages for her, called the corporate office and told them the issue and asked to speak with someone else (all the while fearful that I had been the victim of identity theft)I left a message for her boss, Jonathon B*** with out a reply from him eitherI am going to move on and hope that my foolish move of giving my SSN number wasn't harmfulI read a review that said it did harm one persons creditThis company definitely has poor business practices

I was working with Paramount Equity Mortgage on a home refinanceWe were deep into the process when the company just stopped answering my callsThe processor knew my number and who I was because we had several conversations about business and casual small talkI was promised an improved mortgage situation and led to believe we were going to close in mid March and then they just broke off all communication suddenly and deeply frustrated meThey deceived me and stressed me out for weeks not knowing what was going onI also was advised to skip a mortgage payment because we were nearing closing, and again, they broke off communication and I ended up paying a late fee on my current mortgage of $

I have issues to address regarding a VA refi proposal with Paramount that contradict verifiable information and standard good business practices After submitting all the paperwork and being approved for income, credit history, work history and agreeing to the proposed rate with their rep, *** V., he stated "you meet everything, no worries at all, just need an appraisal" etc, we scheduled an appraisal that was to cost me $The amount taken from my account, without confirmation from me was $ I was later told that amount was a VA requirement and Paramount could not change it The appraisal was scheduled for the following week The appraiser showed up earlier than our scheduled time and I was not yet home She brought her teenage daughter with her who did not seem to be performing any duties related to the appraisal, just tagging along, looking through my home As she was wrapping up, she asked how I liked this area of townShe stated she had never been to this area bef

Absolutely horrible company - Was told that If I did a $prepaid interest loan it would save me money on the interest rate and I would be able to claim it when I filed my taxesThey tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign papersShame on me for not noticing on the loan documents that they listed that $as points under Origination Fees instead of under prepaid interest I guessI didn't realize the problem until I went to file my taxes and the only showed $interest on itWhen I tried to call them I get no call backs, no email, NO NOTHING for weeksThen I start asking for finance, underwriters, or anyone that would actually answer the phoneI get an email from one of their finance people stating the the $is listed on the loan papers as points and that they are not required to put it on the When I told her that was not the agreement I had with the loan office on this loan she rudely replied, "Well talk to him." His boss finally called me back and apologized that I was told one thing to sign the papers and it ended up being that I can't claim all of the $all at once but I have to claim that money over the life of the loanHis apology was empty and worthless to me since I ended up having to pay the govt $in taxes instead of getting a refund of $Gee really saved me money :( They also state that they pay for the appraisal - read your closing docs - YOU pay for it
This company uses SHADY practices to get you to sign papers then changes the deal hidden in the loan papers and ends up costing you moneyWhen you have any kind of issue they completely ignore you until you threaten with lawyersSTAY AWAY and heed the warnings others are telling youLIARS THEY ARE!!!!
