Review: This company is a scam. they overcharged me for my move. I had to ask them for a receipt, which they try to sneak and not offer it to me, since they over charged me 70 dollars. Its been almost 2months and I have called them and they 'Claim" they put my check in the mail. But It has yet to come. Unprofessional to the fullest. Every time I call the manger will say "Oh I put it in the mail" LIES!!! I live in New Orleans by the french Quarter, their office is very far for me to go there for 70 dollars. I warn everyone they OVERCHARGE! HIDDEN GAS FEES (which btw I was told I should not had been charged for, since all they did was unload my uahul in my home 2bedroom of things 2 hour job they charged me 401.00) I WARN YOU DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I hope you find a better moving company.*My move was a unload in a shot gun style home. Btw they even charged me extra to put 2 beds together!!, They calle fit a resembling fee!!! not a brand new bed in a box, the twin size bed in my uhual for my child!!Desired Settlement: I would like my 70 dollar refund I am owed. I was overcharged

Review: I had moving service from this company on January 26, 2015.Upon delivery I noticed severe damages done to my leather sofas and dining table. It was noted by the young man who moved my furniture on the receipt the damages that was done. I was not made aware that no claims to exceed 60% of moving cost until at the end of service. I have made several claims and calls along with email to attempt to get this problem resolved. Although I received a settling claim from the company it was not close to 60% of the moving cost. It started with a smaller amount that I refused because the worker name David admitted on paper that it was tears to the leather on the sofa. I was made aware by manager Tom that David no longer works for company and asked to mail information again. That was done several times along with many emails. With no agreement with Tom I was later told he no longer works at company so begin dealing with another manager name Brian who never wanted to state his full name. So before a year I decided to file a small claims case. Attempted several times to get owners name to bring to court was never able through company because no employee would give any names. So, I looked up on line and see several other cases filed against Shelly [redacted] but when deputy delivered supeano he was told there was no one by the name known there and now Im unable to continue with suit because Im unable to find out who is the owners.Desired Settlement: I want to be compensated with a reasonable price for my one year old damaged furniture

Review: These movers put a 6 foot long deep scratch in the wood floors of my home while moving furniture with a dolly. Over the last month I have called 8 times to try and get them to send the person they say handles these types of claims. Finally they told me a repair man would be at my home on Monday between 1 and 3. Of course this never happened. My husband took off of work to meet the person I can only assume was never even scheduled. Now I can't get them to return a call even after threatening with a law suit. We just want the floor repaired and for the general public to know not to use this company.Desired Settlement: We want our floor repaired

Review: I hired S & S Moving, July 2010. My furniture and belongings were moved to a U-Haul Storage in Slidell, LA. A year later, July 2011, I went to retrieve my things out of storage and found that my furniture plus a tanning bed were either broken or destroyed. An estimate of the damages came to over $2,000 to repair and fix. When I contacted S & S Moving I was told that there was nothing that they could do, but that they can only offer so much in weight and poundage for a total coming to the top amount for this release of only $75.00. Well, I was stuck into signing this release, since I didn't have the funds to sue. Now it's been over a year since I've signed this release and still haven't received this $75.00. All I get is a run-around and that the check is in the mail. I can't even find out, who is in charge there, or get a physical address. All I want at this point, because it's a matter of principal and what is right, is to file this complaint, and hopefully get an address on this business, and the name of owner, so that I can now file a lawsuit if I choose to.Desired Settlement: The $75.00 amount, as signed in the release form.

S and s movers New Orleans

The guys doing the move were completely worn out when they got to out location. We were promised an early morning move. August in New Orleans is HOT. Night before move, moved us to afternoon. I called office and spoke to total jerk. Cost of move has doubled.

Review: I had to hire S & S Movers at the last minute when my scheduled movers did not show up. S & S came at 3:15 p.m. on May 22, 2013. They showed up with 4 guys of which one of them had a ankle monitoring system on him. They worked until 7:15 p.m. In that time they went to the office, had dinner and took many many cigarette breaks!! They worked in extremely slow motion. They would carry one light item at a time and they still did not finish up which is amazing as 2 of the rooms in my house did not even have any furniture! The movers were suppose to show up at 8:00a.m. the next morning as I had a carpet cleaner coming at 10:00a.m. and everything had to be out of the house. The movers assured and promised me that they would be there for 8:00 a.m. Three of them came waltzing in at 9:45 a.m. Once again they worked in slow motion and took many, many cigarette breaks. Of course they counted all that time as billable time to me even when they went to lunch. I had to finally get a neighbor with a pickup truck to help me move the stuff in my garage as they left most of it there. They started driving off when the truck wasn't even full and there was still a lot in the garage. Also I have several pieces of my furniture damaged due to inproper wrapping. It took 7 men 10 hours to move a 2300 square foot house with 2 of the rooms having no furniture. Then the company at the nerve to call me and tell me my credit card had fraud charges on it. The manager did not match the credit card number and name. He faxed me all the paperwork that the fraud division of the credit card company sent him. So I am the one that figured out it was not mine, which took me about two min. This company has a bunch of incompetent people and management. I think they tell their guys to move as slow as you can so that we can colletct more money!! One guy said he was not going to move any faster than he had too!! Some of these guys were pretty scary looking. I finally called my sister to come to my house as I felt uncomfortable.Desired Settlement: I feel that I am due a partial refund on the money I spent on this move. It cost me way too much money for the amount of work that was done and the damage that was done to my furniture. Also considering that I had to find someone to finish helping me move my stuff. I am a widow and I feel like I was toltally taken advantage of.

On July 15, 2013 mover completed the move, took my credit card and billed me for the agreed rate of $1,800.00 FLAT RATE. I asked about my deposit and was told it was not taken out. My credit card statement shows $800 on 7-12-13 and $1,800 on 7-15-13. I have called several times talked to [redacted] the manager then [redacted] the owner. I was told the check would be sent out for $800.00 but I have not received it. My visa statement reads "Fast Affordable college [redacted].
