Review: In the spirit of supporting local business. I took my builder's suggestion and chose Parks Audio to supply all of our alliances in a new build. I paid a total of just under $10K for the new appliances, $8K of which was debit (aka cash). The builder needed the appliances delivered to fit the kitchen cabinetry a few months before the finish carpentry was completed in the house. When delivered the the delivery team failed to measure the entry door and had to take the refrigerator back to the truck and remove the doors from the fridge for clearance into the house. Unfortunately, they deviated from company policy, and placed the fridge directly on the asphalt driveway (without any protective layer) to remove the doors. They returned and installed the fridge in the kitchen, which was covered with protective paper on the hardwood floors. Two month later as the finish carpenter an I were pulling the construction paper off the floors, installing the water line and plugging in the fridge, I pulled the fridge from the cabinetry, adjusted it at an angle, finished hook-up and returned it to place. I immediately noticed gouges in the hardwood and "tracks" of where the wheels rolled in the hardwood. The finish carpenter and I then then propped up the fridge and inspected the wheels which were imbedded with asphalt cinders big enough to dig out and keep in a ziplock bag. I contacted my general contractor, salesman (who went to the Parks owner) and after talking with the carpenter stated that it would be $500 to be fixed the hardwood (with me supplying the material). The owner of Parks has refused to pay to correct the damages even though the finish carpenter witnessed the actions described and the delivery crew admitted to placing the refrigerator directly on the asphalt. However he is willing to replace the wheels on the damaged fridge and pay half the cost ($250) of the repairs with me still supplying the material. I believe supplying the material is more than fair in making this situation right.Desired Settlement: Replace all refrigerator wheels at no cost.Pay entire amount of labor cost to fix damage to hardwood floors ($500).

After reviewing this complaint, we feel that offering to pay half to fix this floor was more than fair. Our reasoning is that the floor did not get scratched until 2 months after our delivery. Our delivery team would have had to have wheeled the refrigerator into place even if there was paper on the floor. Therefore, I'm not sure how there could have been "stones" in the wheels. Furthermore, we would never pull a refrigerator out on hardwood floors without putting a piece of cardboard down and most contractors would do the same. We have seen hardwood floors scratched just by wheeling a refrigerator on it. Those floors can be scratched very easily, Our delivery team is very experienced and putting a refrigerator in a driveway is not uncommon to take the doors off, etc. I have to say that we have never been accused of scratching a floor when we weren't even there. We have been a member of the Revdex.com for 10 years or so. Our track record is very clean, which means we take care of our customers.
