These people call all the time ... 3 to 4 times a day ... I asked them not to call and they call more. There are numerous complaints against them - supposedly a charity organization - they are bogus and take advantage of elderly people - I am registered with the do not call list - these people don't care - how can I stop them from calling?Desired SettlementI would like this organization checked out for inappropriate behavior. I am sure they are a corrupt company. Fraudulent and bogus. This company has called my home every other day for years and even often late at night after 9pm. I blocked their calls years ago after I told them a few times that I did not have anything and they would keep calling the very next day or two. About a month or two ago while I was out, they came through my neighborhood putting pink bags on doorknobs. However, at my home, they raised the sliding door on my outside garage door opener and slipped a pink bag over behind the casing and pulled the door back down to lock it in. It was jammed behind the box and I had a difficult time getting it back off and was concerned that I would break the door on the opener because it was stuck so tight. I called the only number I had at the time ([redacted]) and finally got someone at the company on the phone and explained what happened. The lady's attitude showed she was very unconcerned that my property could have been damaged. I asked that they not call my home again and not come on my property. She said okay and hung up without letting me know she was finished talking. I am still getting these calls every few days. My caller block will cut the calls off after one right but I often get up to answer the phone on the first ring only to find the ringing stops and then I have to go back to what I was doing. At these times, the caller ID always shows #[redacted]. Sometimes I am busy and this is very disruptive. I feel that they are a huge nuisance and are invading my privacy and disturbing my peace. If you are copying this message to them, I do not mind if you tell them who I am but I would greatly appreciate if you do NOT give them my email address as I do not trust them to leave me alone through that medium either and I do not trust them not to give my information to other vendors that will harass me. She will not get anymore phone calls from NAMI Memphis asking for clothing donations. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I think they should apologize but knowing how they operator, I see that they did not not and probably would not based on their lack of concern in their response. I donate to many charities, including Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc., but would never donate to this one now.
