Review: My car, a 2011 Dodge Challenger was taken to the dealership for a safety recall. Sometime during the night between midnight and 7 AM, someone broke into the lot, stole the wheels and tires off my car, opened the door and trunk (not locked) and stole items from inside the car. The dealership called me to inform me of the break in about 9:00 AM. I drove to the dealership, spoke to the police and the Service Manager. The Service Manager told me what had happened and that replacement parts were already on order and that once the wheels and tires were replaced it would be sent to the body shop to repair damage incurred during the robbery. They then supplied me with a free rental car and said that their insurance claim would take care of everything.

Two days later, the owner of the dealership ([redacted]) called me and informed me that their insurance was not going to pay for the repairs, and that I must claim it on my insurance. I immediately drove to the dealership to confront [redacted] and confirm the phone conversation. He then told me that it wasn't the insurance refusing to pay, but the management company (?)

Meanwhile my 2 year old car sits in their back lot, sitting on the brake rotors, on the blacktop in 100 degree heat sinking into the blacktop causing additional damage. In the end, [redacted] said that he would call on Monday to tell me what was happening.

This all happened last week, starting on Wednesday. Now it's been sitting on the ground, unlocked, being damaged farther due entirely to their negligence with no solution in sight.

They have Garage Keepers Liability insurance to cover these things, but seem to be unwilling to file a claim, but instead want me to use MY insurance. This will cause an increase to my rates, I've lost value of the vehicle due to the damage incurred, and all due to their negligence.

I have filed a complaint with Chrysler Corporation also, this entire ordeal is due entirely to the dealerships negligence and failure to protect my property. I should not have to pay for any damage due to this break in and subsequent damage to my property.Desired Settlement: I want the vehicle repaired and the stole items either replaced or I want to be compensated for their loss. The did not lock the vehicle, they have no security system other than a locked gate. I expect them to pay the cost of the rental car and all damages to the vehicle.
