Review: I recently got married, and we used Party Perfect to supply the linens for our reception. My new aunt paid the initial deposit of $200.00. She paid in cash. She was told that she could pick up the linens on the Friday before our event. So, on April 26th, I went and picked up the linens. When I arrived, I spoke to a lady who was of foreign descent and told her I was there to pick up our order. She handed me cash to pay. She told me the amount and I thought I was $20 short. She informed me that I couldn't pick up the linens until I had the full amount of $186.05. I asked her where the nearest [redacted] was, and she said around the corner. So I walked out to Broad Street, and saw the bank was a full 2-3 blocks away. As I walked towards my truck, I recounted the money, and realized I had miscounted. So I went back into the Party Perfect office, and instead of the first lady, I spoke to a new lady, a blonde woman, who's desk was on the left side corner, right when you walk in. She then took my money, handed me a receipt, and told me to drive around back to Door 5. When I arrived, the men in the warehouse handed me the linens I had rented. When I returned, I pulled up to door five and told them I was returning the linens. They took them out of the container and started to sort through them, extremely sloppily and quickly. They first said I was short one, then recounted and said I was short two. I still think they miscounted. I went to pay for the missing items and they said that it would be a $50 charge. I gave them a credit card to use, and signed the receipt. When I got my bank statement, I noticed they had charged me $239, so I called. They said that I hadn't paid the initial amount. I told them I was told by the ladies that I wasn't allowed to get the linens without payment and it was not mentioned to me of the remaining balance when I went to pay. Unfortunately, while moving I lost my receipt, but its very convenient of them to loss a cash receipt from their records.Desired Settlement: I just want my original $186 back, I don't mind paying the lost items fee. But it was exceptionally bad business on my part for dealing with them. I lost my receipt in the hustle and bustle of moving, but I would have expected a business to be run more professionally.
