Review: On 06/**/13 I purchased a silver shoes with my visa credit card in the amount of $57.55. On 06/**/13 at 2:30pm I went back to the store to return it for a refund since I bougth one from another store which is $20.00 cheaper and nicer. The daughter of the owner said, "this shoes are used and worn", I said " I never have worn it yet. I purchased this shoes for my son's wedding on June **th in California." Then she said, " oh we don't give refund, it's store policy." I said, " It is not written on the receipt nor you don't have it posted anywhere in your store." Then I asked to speak to the owner who is her mother. She called her mother on the cell but she did not pick up. I requested the daughter to write her mother's name and to give me the store's business card. The owner's name is [redacted]. I left the store without getting my refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to return the unused shoes and get my refund or money back.

On 06/**/13 at 2:30pm, [redacted] stepped into Party Shoes and displayed a pair of shoes she wanted to return for money back because she found another pair elsewhere. My daughter, who was working at the time, told her that we don't give cash or credit refunds. My daughter told her that she may choose another pair of shoes to exchange for the unwanted pair. [redacted] asked how this was possible and if she could speak with the manager. Upon checking the shoes, my daughter noticed something on the shoes and said "these have a stain on them." [redacted] raised her voice and stated, "are you accusing me of wearing them? I bought them that way!" My daughter knew that we did not give refunds, but called me to see if there was anything we could do. I was unable to pick up the phone at the time. My daughter told her that I was not answering, but that we have displayed on the walls that we do not give refunds. There is a sign in Spanish and in English hanging in our store. [redacted] argued that it was not stated on our receipts that we do not give refunds. After more of this back and forth, [redacted] demanded my name and number and stormed out of the store. She left without a refund.

As Ms. [redacted] stated in her complaint, we do not have our "no refunds" policy on our receipts. However, we do have it clearly displayed on our walls and it has been implemented since our first day of business. We are deciding to give [redacted] her refund after inspecting whether the shoes have been worn or not. But please be advised this is an EXCEPTION to our policy. We will begin writing our policy on our receipts to avoid future misunderstandings.
