Review: My granddaughter, [redacted], was put into Passages 0n 7/28/12 with a substance abuse problem 7/28/12. She returned again 4/2013 for one day. Before accepting her in April they required $5000.00 up front and $1000.00 up front paid to them for the doctor. At her April 2013 visit she was not given any medication (some was ordered for her) she never saw the doctor. When she left her mother called the billing office about a refund. The consumer first talked to Jaycee Garcia and she said she would send a refund if she signed the release form. When Paula got the form she told Jaycee the amount did not sound correct for 1 day and Jaycee said that she would check on it and also on the amount that we paid for the doctor since Brandi had not seen a doctor and then it would also be refunded to my debit card. Several calls we made were answered with it is coming.Jaycee left the department and we began talking to Gabby. After several calls Gabby said no other refund was due because the consumer signed the release form. I explained the earlier conversations with Jaycee and the situation and asked for a breakdown of what was billed, charged to insurance, paid by us and paid by insurance. I also asked for the same thing for 2012. Several phone calls and e-mails with no results. Gabby said she would have her supervisor call which never happened.Desired Settlement: I want a copy of billing records for 2012 and 2013 what was billed, paid by us, paid by insurance.I want supporting documentation of what would be appropriate billing for a 1 day stay. I do not want to pay for medications not received or a doctor never seen. We were quoted the doctor charged $250 a day we paid $1000 and she never saw him.I want refunded the $1000 we paid for the doctor and the remaining amount we are due back from the $5000 we paid passages for the April stay.Originally we

I am rejecting this response because: The response merely states policy. In working with Passages as an individual customer we had spoke to someone in accounting and was verbably told we would not be billed for the time not used because my granddaughter was never seen by a doctor or given any medication, so therefore received no services for the money we paid except for a 1 day stay. Is this a medical facility or a timeshare. The response says that they cannot respond to the individual case because of HIPPA laws but then states it is like a time share where you pay for a block of time up front with no refund capability. Being a medical facility we have the right to see what was billed to our insurance and how the billing was broken down. I also asked for a copy of 2012 billing/invoices and payments but that was not even addressed in the response. Yes, we did receive a partial refund, but was never told the breakdown of the refund. Yes my daughter signed a release but at the same time she was being told by an employee of passages that, if the doctor's payment was charged on the same card , it will be credited that way, and if additional credit was due it would also be credited to the card. We were told we would have to contact the doctor later for re-embursement of his payment, but we paid the funds to Passages for the doctor. We were told the billing was $750 a day plus medication, plus charges for seeing the doctor but none of this ever happened. I do not want to get into other issues that we are unhappy with, for example as a medical facility they were supposed to be looking over my granddaughter but under their watch my granddaughter formed a relationship with another patient with similar issues and it was not noticed or addressed. Also, it was ok to let my granddaughter walk away from the facility of her own free will but they never even started to address with her why she was there again and how these types of decisions might impact her.

I merelly ask what was I billed for in 2012 and 2013, what was billed to insurance, what was paid for by insurance & myself. Also, credit from the payment to the doctor that was never seen. (not part of the timeshare) and credit for medication never received. And the answer to the question why they came up with the credit that they did? What is the breakdown?

I feel these are my granddaughters and my rights as the payee.

Review: After charging approximately.30,000 the place was unbearable. They promised I would see a doctor right away upon arrival. 33 hour later I still had not saw an acual phsycian. The first night as I was sleeping the fire alarm went off. The fire alarm continued to go off all the next day and into the next morning. This placed failed to live upto any of its guarantees.Desired Settlement: Refund.
