Review: Company claims you get a 30 day supply of a product in which you get a 14 day "free trial". It apparently begins the second you submit order and if it takes 3-4 days to receive, you don't get 14 days to "try". Then you have to call to cancel before the stroke of midnight on the 14th day in order for them to NOT charge you full price, which you never know what it is in the original ad because think you are only order a trial and will know the price then which is $89.10. This I only found out when I happened to check my credit card account for a different charge and noticed the $89.10. I was shocked at how much and that they were doing this when I only just received the product 10 days prior. They say the terms are there, but on a smartphone is difficult to see and no where did I find how much this would cost if you keep getting it. It leads you to think you have time to try a "free trial" and then have time to cancel. Also, the packing slip had no price on it except the $4.95 shipping paid and no other terms listed either. The packing list is where I found a number to call and spoke with a rep who was very rude and told me the terms were clear and I will still be charged the $89.10. I tried talking to him to explain, he kept talking over me until I realized I was late for work and said "whatever, I have to go" and then I emailed the company after Googling them to again ask for a refund. I have cancelled the "auto shipment" that was set up and a rep confirmed to me when I asked that no further charges will be made. I was denied the opportunity to speak with a manager even though when I emailed about the refund and where to send back product, I received a response from a [redacted] Manager

Pathos Skin Care

Contact Us: [redacted] Mon-Fri 9AM-6PM EST

I was never able to reach her or anyone else by phone to discuss. Only got automated emails stating I will be charged the original $89.10. I cannot afford this price especially for a product I can't even use.Desired Settlement: Full refund of the amount charged my credit card of $89.10.

Review: I read the terms/conditions on the first page of the Pathos Skin Care webpage; I wasn't aware that this info would be different from the final page-this is per Rep-[redacted] In the contact section it states an RMA # was NOT NEEDED in returning an item. When I called customer service and spoke with rep [redacted]whose manner was nasty-nice and I had to tell her to lower her tone with me because I couldn't understand what she was saying)she told me a list of reasons why I couldn't receive a refund: We do not take back return product for a refund-PERIOD, I needed an RMA # to return merchandise, we received your return too late? and I called 3 days too late. When I asked if I could speak to a supervisor her response was NO. She stated there wasn't a supervisor there at the time and why do I want to speak to a supervisor their just going to tell me the same thing, I could not leave a number where one could call me back and there was NOTHING else they could do to assist me. Then after I asked her if they were going to take my returned merchandise and sell it to someone else, she then told me she could send it back to me (THE ITEM I DON'T WANT NOW)without ANY additional charge; I could hear that she kept putting me on mute. NOTE: I believe the only reason they didn't hang up on me earlier is because I told them I was recording the call. Thirty plus minutes passed and mysteriously a supervisor became available. She,[redacted] also informed me sorry nothing we can do for you (nasty-nice attitude also). I called back and spoke with [redacted], who kept putting me on mute, and she told me she couldn't help me and eventually HUNG UP on me. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!Desired Settlement: Due to the bad customer service (False Statements & Attitude)I experienced with the Pathos Company I'd like to just return ALL their product (which is unused) minus the 2.95 shipping fee. I called to request a refund for one (1) item, after that experience, I'd rather not due business with Pathos Skin Care AT ALL!!!!

Review: I ordered a free trail of PATHOS SKIN CARE as it was advertised on my facebook page. I was to pay about $4.00 for shipping. However, I have now receive at least 3 bottles of this product. I did not wish to place an order, but they keep sending it to me! There is no telephone number for me to call and cancel and tell them to stop billing my credit card. I googled searched them but still couldn't find a phone # for contact. This is disturbing to me.Desired Settlement: I want PATHOS SKIN CARE to cease sending me any products and stop charging my credit card for purchases that I didn't make!!!!Thank you so much for help,[redacted]

Review: My wife ordered a "trial " product from Pathos. When it was received we saw that it was for a recurring order of 89.10. We immediately called and told them we wanted to cancel and that we were returning the product unopened. They tried to convince me to keep the product during the trial period but I told them she now did not want to even try the product. Once they accepted that I wanted to not have the product they told me it might take 6 - 8 weeks to process the refund. I mailed it back [redacted] On 8-11 we were billed 89.10 I figured that was already in the system and that in a few days it would be refunded as we never got any product then to send back. It never got credited back and then on 9-9-14 they hit us again for 89.10. We did get a shipment of product this week. I called again this morning and I was told I had not called to cancel before so I was not eligible for a refund. I did tell them to cancel at this time on 9-20-14.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back as we have sent the trial and the one shipment of product back.

Review: I ordered a "free" trial product for shipping and handling of $3.95 on Mar. 10, 2015. I received the product (eye cream) in the mail. However, on Mar. 26, 2015 there was $89.10 taken out of my checking account. I called the company and said their advertisiement had said nothing about being charged the $89.10 for the trial. I waas told that if I didn't cancel my account with them in 14 days I would be charged. There was noting about this on the advertisment that I read. They would not reimburse my money. They said the only thing they could do was cancel my account so I wouldn't receive more products and more withdrawals from my checking account.Desired Settlement: Refund of $89.10 in cash, check or put back on my debit card.

Review: company offered free trial. I got the trial, called to cancel product. they told me they had my credit card and would continue to charge me. I told them I didn't want the product and to cancel and if they sent me more product I would not pay for it. they continued to send product and charge me. I called to get a return address to send the product. they refused to give me one. I have continued to call to cancel and get return address. they refused, so I sent product return to sender. My credit card company could not stop charges. this went on for 9 months. today 10-20-14 my credit card company called them and got a cancellation number and the representative stated that I never called to cancel so I can't get a refund for past products and they don't accept return to sender. TOTALLY FRAUDULENT COMPANY!! and their product sucks too.Desired Settlement: I put these charges in dispute with my credit card company but they said they might not be able to credit past charges. The company says I am not entitled to a refund because they sent me product, which I sent back return to sender. Company refused to give a return address and claims they don't accept return to sender.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The Representative [redacted] did address the complaint when I was on the line with the credit card company however he only refounded one payment. I had called months prior to this at which point there was a female party that stated that she would not cancel the subscription and refused to give me a return address for the product. there must be something illegal about forcing a product. I told her if she didn't stop sending the product I would stop paying for it and at that point I kept returning every product sent return to sender.when I called back on the day with [redacted] he stated that the company does not accept return to sender and that is because the representatives refused to give a return address for their product so they can keep charging you. the whole business is very shady. I challenge you to order this product and then try to cancel it yourself and you will see what happens. I have searched the Internet and other people have made the same comments. I am only continuing this complaint to help other people not suffer the fate of this company. They charges me for 8 months and refunded one. I only have the "free" trial as the rest of the product was sent back unopened return to sender after they refused to cancel my order or provide return address information. Their product sucks too by the way. This company needs to be put out of business!!

Regards,

Review: I called this company to order a 30 day trial for a shipping charge of $4.95. I called to cancel the automatic shipment of the product within the 30 days but received a charge of $89.10 on my card. After calling the company I was informed that the trail was 14 days. I had specifically noted on a sticky note the phone number of the company and that it was a 30 day trial.

It was a 30 day free supply. This was very misleading. The company refused to refund the amount .and since it is more than 60days the credit card company can not do anything about this. There are 7 other complaints against this company where this has happened. I would like the $89.10 be refunded. The promotion was in conjunction with another skin product from RX Repair which did exactly the same misleading sale and charged me $79.97Desired Settlement: Refund $89.10 to my credit card

Review: I ordered a bottle of Renuvaskin cream 10-21-2014 and was only suposed to pay the shipping and handling charges on it for 4.95 and renuvaeye 10-22-2014 and only pay shipping and handling onit for 5.95 after paying those charges I was charged another 94.47 for the skin cream and another 89.47 for the eye cream which I did not authorize on November 2, 2014. I called the number that was a nevada number from the company and they tried to tell me it was on the site to be charged these fees which it wasn't it only said pay shipping and handling. I asked them to return the money which they refused and I have already done a dispute with my bank also The man from the skin cream company said they had to do a 3 way call with the bank also. I think this is an awful way to conduct business and even told him I would return the creams and he said they don't do that. I told him I am on social security and and could not afford this out of my check and it was a sorry thing to treat people this way. All I want is my money back and if they want their product back they can have it back. I only got it on Oct 22 ,2014 and should be able to be returned and money refunded if thats what is necessary . They have a Nevada number which is [redacted] for renuvaskin and [redacted] for the Renuvaeye . I had talked to the one at [redacted]and think the man was very rude he even hung up on me.Desired Settlement: Immediate Refund of the 94.47 and the 89.47 which was not authorized to be taken out of my account

Review: Ordered a sample then discontinued product, product does not work. They continued to charge my card and continued to send product to this day. I want this product to stop being sent for I keep trying to send back but company won't except returns. Have read other complaints before filing and I am not the only dissatisfied customer. Thank youDesired Settlement: Stop delivery an charges of product

Review: I keep receiving products from this company through the mail. I did not order this product. They have taken out $346.00 all together since June of 2014. They say they will only return $89.00 of my money. I'm sending all the product back and I have requested that my Bank close my Credit Card and re-issue another one. They are RUDE, and will not work with me in any way. I do not want anything sent to me or taken out of my account any longer. PLEASE, PLEASE warn others to be aware of companies taking out money and not wanting to refund anything. If the product were that good, they would guarantee it.Desired Settlement: I have called several times to get RUDE people on the phone. I ask for a manager and they say they cannot connect me to one. They didn't even put invoices or numbers to call back. I would like a full refund since I have sent all the products back to them.

Review: I ordered this product for $4.95 S&H or so I thought June 9. Received my credit card statement July 14 with a charge on June 10 for the product of $89.10, so I called to dispute the charge because I thought it was $4.95 not $89.10. I was informed that I didnt read the fine print I think it is deceptive advertising on Facebook, you are led to beleive that it is a 14 day free sample other than S&H. I thought what they sent you was a 14 day trial and no further charge other than the $4.95. The 14 day trial product didnt last but 7 days. Then in the mail I receive another shipment on July 14 the same day I received my credit card statement. I called for a refund and Jeremy said I had to return it with an RMA #. Customer service was rude ...SO in the fine print they tell you that if you dont call within 14 days you are charged the full amount and you receive automatic shipments charging your credit card $89.10. The sad part is that they advertisied two products that work together and the same thing has happened to me with that company so now I am trying to get my $179 back from PAthos Skin Care and $165 back from RX Repair. Ugh! Such deception from both companies.Desired Settlement: I would like my two charges of $89.10 refunded to me. I have a charge on my credit card for June 10 and now another one July 8 will be on my next statement for $89.10. I would also like my postage refunded.

Regards,

Review: grossly deceptive promotion of "free trial" appearing on my iPad via Facebook - there was no "I agree to the Terms etc." required checkbox as claimed by the merchant on the web page I was viewing on my iPad (I now know that this checkbox appears when connecting directly to their web page, not via a Facebook promotional ad where I placed my "trial" order) problem #1: $4.95 shipping charge required credit card info, later used to process additional (3 so far) unauthorized monthly charges of $89.10 eachproblem #2: merchant claims that when I accepted the free trial, I also agreed to their Terms & Conditions as well as their Privacy Policy - THIS IS AN UNTRUE STATEMENT - by providing credit card information, it implied that I agreed to the $4.95 shipping charge for the trial - there was no explicit agreement to accept any Terms & Conditionsproblem #3: I was unaware that, based on my "free trial" order, the merchant had created an account with automatic monthly regular product shipments beginning May 14, 2014. Two $89.10 charges (May 14 and June 13) were processed before realizing on July 13, a Sunday morning, that the merchant had just submitted a 3rd monthly charge of $89.10 for the pending July shipment. I immediately called the merchant, who claims 24/7 "customer service" - a limited automated response with, among other option, "press option 1 to cancel account" - I promptly pressed option 1 and the call ended. Five (5) days later the shipment arrived via USPS 1st Class Mail - shipped AFTER the account was cancelled.problem #4: I immediately called the merchant (today, July 19) to inform them of their mistake and request a Return Authorization - their response was brief and extremely rude: "by selecting option 1 (cancel account) I had also agreed to accept any pending product shipments - AGAIN, AN UNTRUE STATEMENT - I repeated my request to return the unopened USPS shipping box just received; the response was even more rude: "were you not listening... - the product cannot be returned!"Desired Settlement: merchant to:1. issue return authorization for unopened July shipment mailed and received after account was cancelled2. void 3 credit card payment claims of $89.10 ea. (currently flagged for dispute by card issuing bank)note: May and June shipments were never received !

Review: Pathos Skin Care committed at least 9 of the fraudulent practices specified in your list of "Nature of Complaints": 1) Advertisement made unrealistic, unsubstantiated claims for their product; 2) Ad misrepresented the product; 3) company processed unauthorized credit card charges; 4) They failed to provide itemized billing; 5) Authenticity/validity of the contract in is question; 6)Product was defective; 7) Sales presentation with unethical sales practices; 8) Sales presentation failed to disclose key conditions of the offer; and,

9) Company did not disclose complete pricing information.

This company has perpetrated a SCAM with exaggerated claims for the product online, provided absolutely no information regarding billing charges for the product, and charged exorbitant amounts to my credit card without any documentation of billing, and does not provide a phone number or any information when product is delivered to contact customer service. After a difficult search to find a customer service number, I called and was told that my credit card has been charged $89.10/month, for the past 3 months (for a tiny bottle, 0.5 oz of liquid). This is a complete RIP-OFF, with absolutely no notification of what the charges would be, after I had ordered what was advertised as a "Free Trial"!Desired Settlement: The product has not, in any way, lived up to the claims made in the online ads. I would like to return the last 2 shipments and receive a full refund, since I was never informed that the charges would be $89.10/month for a 0.5 oz of the liquid skin "serum". I now have a total bill of $267.30 charged to my credit card for a product that is a complete sham, and having never agreed to pay these exorbitant charges.

I would like a refund for at least the last 2 shipments of these tiny 0.5 oz. bottles of this product. Actually, since I was never informed of the actual charges made, my desired outcome would be to receive the entire $267.30, credited to my account.
