All of the team at Pawling Animal Clinic was saddened to hear that [redacted] contracted [redacted]. When we first met [redacted], March **, 2014, he was a very sick puppy and it was very upsetting to find out that both he and [redacted] were dealing with this new illness.
Nearly all of the visits [redacted] made to our office were not for healthy puppy examinations but were, instead, for illness. On June **, 2014 [redacted] was well enough for his neuter and that was successfully carried out on that day. By this time, however, [redacted] was due for several vaccinations which had been postponed due his ongoing medical issues. We believe that it is not in the best medical interest of our patients to receive vaccinations for many diseases on the same day as a major surgical procedure. [redacted] received one vaccination for [redacted], as that vaccination is mandated by State law. It was our intention to go forward with [redacted] and [redacted] vaccinations at a later date. It is our practice to advise our clients to schedule a follow-up appointment within three weeks.
Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to see [redacted] again after June **, 2014. In early July, [redacted]’s owner requested copies of [redacted]’s medical records and advised us that she was going elsewhere for her veterinary needs. As is our practice, we provided her with a copy of [redacted]’s complete file, which reflected the need for the remaining vaccinations.
On August **, 2014 we were notified that [redacted] had been successfully treated for [redacted] at another local veterinary hospital.
We are so pleased to know that this tough puppy had made it through treatment. While we are disappointed that [redacted] felt our service was inadequate, we believe that we provided the best care possible to [redacted] while he was a patient at our clinic.

Also listed in PAC reply, they stated I received a full and complete copy of [redacted]s records, which I did not. In fact I requested [redacted]s records on different occasions, after [redacted] was in the emergency hospital, and PAC found out that he was diagnosed with [redacted] the second copy of records were altered and information was written in pen. Also in the reply it states that they remind of recommended appointments and follow-ups and they advised me of [redacted]'s follow up, however I did receive only one reminder in May for the [redacted] Vaccine, other than that there were no reminders, phone calls, or follow up cards sent to me.

Review: Took my 5 month old puppy into Pawling Animal Clinic for his neuter,and all went well until 2 months later when he got very sick,and had to take him to the animal emergency hospital. He had contracted [redacted]! After getting his records from Pawling Animal Clinic, it was discovered he had not received his vaccines for this. After 3 days in isolation he did recover. When I asked Pawling Animal why the vaccine was not given.... they didnot have an answer. Pawling Animal Clinic is now saying I went into their office 3 days after his surgery and pulled all his records and requested to be inactive! No truth to that at all!Desired Settlement: I would like Pawling Animal Clinic to reimburse the amount of the emergency hospital bills of 7600.00 dollars for their mistake.
