PAYDAY ADVANCE Reviews (2)

There are two big reasons to shop elsewhere: 1) the lift he built ruined the shoe within 3 months, 2) he sells shoes, expensive shoes, "only suppose to last 6 months" per Macino himself, and the biggest reason 3) he cheated me out of $92.13.

I heard great reviews about this place, but the shoe lift Macino made stretched the shoe, making the toe pointed when it, and the other original shoe was/is a rounded toe. Because of this stretch the seams became stretched and the seam holding the shoelace ties pulled apart leaving a big gap in the shoe. When I called he said he could glue it AND this $150.00 "BEST" shoe is "only supposed to last 6 months." I bet the manufacturer would not agree and not be pleased to hear him saying this to customers, yet he did remind me I can get two lifts a year.

The shoe is ruined --all because the shoe was not left it its correct shape. The lift, at least, was the correct height. I loved these shoes until the one fell apart, and they are my only shoes so I must wear them. I can't afford another $150 especially when it actually cost me , with the $92 "refundable deposit" $242.

The second reason is this: Macino's accepts Medicare reimbursement but insists you put down the entire amount to be billed Medicare first. And then when he is reimbursed you get your money back "To insure I get my full amount" I had to put down $85.90 and then they taxed it!! (It is not taxable). So I am now out $92.13. Macino's was paid by Medicare in May, it is now the end of August and I have not gotten my money back. I've asked for it. He gives me a runaround.

I called Medicare, to see how to submit a claim and found out he'd been paid two months earlier in May (I bought the shoes in November, they screwed around with the claim not sending in until I told them I contacted Medicare in January). Medicare told me to insist on an entire refund and if they refused to call back and Medicare would file a fraud claim (didn't help that they claimed I paid nothing). This is what is happening now, as Medicare tries to get my full amount back and then whatever else they do when a business tries to defraud Medicare.

Macino's said , on their claim form for payment from Medicare, that I paid nothing on the lift. Now they have been paid twice: my $92.13 (he only billed Medicare $79) and whatever reimbursement he received in May and agreed to accept as payment in full.

Fraudulent? I don't think so, and certainly hope not, but something's stinks. I would never recommend this store to anyone because of the money of mine he kept. Anyone can make a mistake on a shoe. I was also told both shoes would be sprayed to help them stay nice, but the other shoe couldn't have been from the way it looks.

This order was just messed up from the getgo. They couldn't even get my last name correct, (the people are not nice), and they never tried to fix this--only push off blame on the shoe itself. Not making it right AND keeping my $92.13 Medicare said he NEVER should have insisted I pay is NOT GOOD BUSINESS. I would have accepted a replacements (not stretched, of course), but never offered.

So my shoes suck and I am out nearly $100.00 The people who told me it was a good place vowed never to return. Neither will I and I suggest you don't either.

Review: A MAN BY THE NAME OF MEEKS JR DEPOSITED 447 INTO MY ACCOUNT AS A PERSONAL LOAN, THEN DEMANDED I PUT THE MONEY ON A [redacted] AND GIVE HIM THE NUMBERS IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE LOAN OR HE WAS GOING TO FILE CHARGES. I WAS HARRASSED BY THIS EMPLOYEE, AND HE WAS VERY BELIGERENTDesired Settlement: 447
