Business Response to a ComplaintComplaint ID#:[redacted]Company Name:Payless Auto WholesaleCompany Contact:[redacted]Company Phone:[redacted]Company Email:[redacted]Person Who Sent the Complaint:[redacted]Staff Member:[redacted]Response:On 6/2/2015 [redacted] came in and...

purchased a used 2004 Nissan Altima with approximately 104,000 miles. [redacted] arrived at the dealership at roughly1pm and and finished the transaction at just before 10pm mind you we close at 7pm. During the time he was here [redacted] test drove several cars includiing the Altima he purchased several times. First off the entire time [redacted] was here he never requested to bring the car to his mechanic and he drove the vehicle several times. After hours of driving and negotiations with getting him a reduced finance rate he took the car home. Several day later he called and faxed a list of concerns with no mention of starter or transmission problems, his issues were tie rod ends and motor mounts, and a belt and tensioner. The tie rods were fine it had minor wear in the stabalizer links so we changed them free of charge he felt a vibration, his mechainc said it was mounts with a belt and tensioner, turned out it needed an alternator and a belt which was also repaired free of charge. We do not offer a 7 day unconditional return policy, Our policy is clearly listed on the wall and he does not qualify. These documents can be furnished at your request.Sent on: 7/20/2015 12:40:28 PMSent by: 69.123.36.254

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Every word is untrue. 1) I requested several times to show the car to my mechanic and each time I was refused. 2) The test drives were 2 minute rides around the block. 3) I contacted the dealership THE VERY NEXT DAY with the list of concerns. 3) The sign on the wall did not provide conditions on the 7-day policy. 4) I was told everything would be fixed, specifically, the tie rods. But almost nothing was fixed and despite repeated reassurances that the tie rods would be replaced, they were not even touched. 5) When I confronted Les, I was told that he would not speak to me until I removed the negative internet reviews of his business -- this violates several laws and regulations. 6) Since I first contacted Revdex.com, another bunch of issues have surfaced, demonstrating once again that Payless purposely and intentionally sold me a defective car. That Payless responded to this Revdex.com complaint only now, months after I first made this complaint, demonstrates the bad faith and poor business practices of this car dealership. Considering that I filed this Revdex.com complaint so long ago, and that Payless only responded now, after the response-window has closed, I plan to commence a lawsuit against Payless shortly.

This is by far the WORST DEALERSHIP WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! The GM Les is an absolute liar. I bought a car there where he upselled me for starters and in less than two weeks later I brought the car bk for some minor issues and his comment was " WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIX IT FOREVER" I WILL POST THIS ON ON,EVERY SITE. BUYER BEWARE! Stay AWAY

Review: On March 4, 2013, I went to purchase a vehicle from Payless Auto Wholesale. The particular car I agreed to purchase was a 1994[redacted] Civic. I was not able to take immediate delivery of the car due to insurance and license. So I left$2500 cash deposit to the salesman[redacted]. On behalf of my word to let salesmen know I was serious buyer. In return I was given a manila folder with all my documentation and receipt for my cash deposit. Per the[redacted], He said, when I get all my insurance and license situates to come back and he will honor the purchase agreement. I would not be guaranteed the original vehicle I sought out to purchase in the beginning, but he said, "He will credit $2500 toward a different vehicle when that time come. Vehicle. On September 5, 2013, I went back to Payless Auto Wholesale to purchase a 1998[redacted] Civic EX sedan for $2,995 that was on the lot. When the time comes for me to purchase the 1998[redacted],[redacted] did not apply the $2500 credit to the purchase price. I was given a new balance of $3,538. I only had enough money for the remaining balance assuming he would apply the $2500 cash deposit from March. I have been trying repeatedly to recoup the cash deposit from Payless Wholesale but I am getting the run around. No one is returning my calls and I have asked for the office manager and he is always out of the office. I have a signed buyer's order, which is a bill of sale.Desired Settlement: I feel like I was taken advantage of and treated unfair. My desired outcome is to refund my money so I purchase a car from a reputable car dealer. Please help.

Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

Ms.[redacted]states she left a 2500 cash deposit on March 4,2014. Our records do not show any cash deposit received from Ms.[redacted] on or around that date. Ms.[redacted]claims to have a receipt, however when we asked her to produce the receipt so we can issue a refund she faxed over a bill of sale that we give to customers that do not leave a deposit but need the car information for insurance purposes showing a deposit of $0.00 and a balance of $3538.00. She claims to have another receipt but can not produce it. In closing as there is no record of her deposit in our system we can not offer any sort of refund without the proper documentation

Review: I purchased a 1998 Chevy truck from Pay[redacted] Auto Wholesale at 601 River Dr. Garfield, NJ Saturday December 7, 2013. I put a $1700 down payment to finance. I work at my local Chevy Dealership and brought the truck into work to inspect it. I put it on the lift and came to fine out the frame was nearly rotted through in some crucial areas. I got opinions from some of the higher Technicians who had been working there for 10-30 years and they all said to bring it back because it was very unsafe to drive. I contacted my salesman, He goes by the name of "[redacted]", and told him what I'd discovered under the truck. He said bring it in Thursday December 12, 2013 (not even a week later). I showed the salesman the frame and pulled some of it away just with my hand. He kept saying there's nothing wrong with the truck and nothing is broken. I showed him the pieces of frame in my hand and said I wanted to return the truck. After arguing with him for an hour or so he said he would support the weak points in the frame by welding a support beam. I told him count[redacted] times it was beyond repair. Since he refused to refund my money. I left the truck there and on my way home (and hour drive), I contacted the financing company and declined the finance plan so I wouldn't have to make any further payments. "[redacted]" called me back sounding upset that I had cancelled it. I told him another count[redacted] times I'm returning the truck, bottom line. He finally said ok whatever and said he would call me back with details about the return. I never got a call for 2 days so I called him and he said there was a $399 return fee. I looked through my contract and it says any return fee's must be placed in the contract itself or in the vehicle information document that hangs in the driver window when the vehicle is purchased. It wasn't in either of them. Their return fee was printed from Microsoft Word and put up on the wall with a thumb tack with no official signature. All this to take $400 from a 19 year old who "doesn't know better".Desired Settlement: To cancel the insurance I was set up with through them I need a document stating I returned the vehicle on Thursday December 12, 2013 to receive my other $515 down on the insurance since I'm not driving nor do I have possession of the vehicle. I told him I needed this document when I went and received the check for $1301 on Saturday December 28, 2013. I never received the document. All I need is this document stating the return date of December 12, 2013 and this will finally be all settled.

Review: I gave Payless Auto Wholesalers a fully refundable $500 deposit September 9th, 2014 for a vehicle that I did not purchase. The deposit has not been returned. The dealer has become extremely evasive and unresponsive to my issuesDesired Settlement: I want my $500 returned. Since this has become more than difficult I'd also request an additional financial reimbursement
