Complaint[redacted] took a significant deposit and two wing chairs to reupholster 6 months ago. No response to email, phone calls, chairs and money gone. [redacted] seems to have taken my money and furniture along with those of between a half dozen and dozen others and vanished.Took [redacted] just before [redacted] 2014, along with two wing chairs to strip. Gave me fabric books. Never came back to get the fabric books (from my son's house in [redacted] has not returned phone calls or emails. Seems to have disappeared. I'd at least like my furniture back - can we enter the [redacted] site and get back our property? [redacted] bucks likely long gone, but I'm owed it.Desired SettlementFurniture returned and [redacted] deposit returned.

Contracted to have sofa reupholstered in [redacted] Sofa returned with wrong fabric. Upholsterer made no attempt to progess with redo or refund any part.Contracted early [redacted] 2014 to have sofa reupholstered. Sofa to be picked up [redacted] Upholsterer postponed several times, picked up [redacted] with promise of finished product within two weeks. Several weeks of stress followed. Upholsterer ignored me, failed to contact me, when confronted by me at his shop several times he made excuse after excuse with promises of completion and delivery, dates came and went with no communication. This happened several times. Repeated phone attempts were not answered despite messages left, visits to shop closed up with "working offsite" signs on the door. Finally, on [redacted] sofa was delivered in wrong fabric. Upholsterer argued was not wrong fabric, then later said he knew when completing it it was wrong fabric. He was upset that since the pattern was similar, he did not understand my problem. Finally met with him (unknown he had moved his shop to [redacted] to his home)and asked for all money back as I had a sofa with wrong material and he had all my [redacted] he refused. Said he would redo or reimburse for fabric and 2 pillows he did not complete. Reluctantly I agreed to a redo as I was out all the money. He did not have a fabric I liked so gave him contact information and fabric choice from a place I knew of with fabric I liked. A week and a half went by and I had not heard from him so called the fabric place and was told no fabric was ordered. He made no attempt to progress or to contact me. Two weeks prior to Christmas I emailed his business, left messages on both phones and told him I expected my money back, that he should give all my money back, but at the very least he owed me the [redacted] for the fabric and two pillows not completed and that I expected to receive funds from him by Christmas. I have never heard from him. His shop is now located at [redacted] Alternative phone number XXX-XXX-XXXX.Desired SettlementI would like a full refund of the [redacted] as it has now cost me an additional [redacted] to get the sofa redone by another firm. An invoice for the work as well as a record for the cased check is available upon request.Desired SettlementThe complainant is seeking [redacted] USD and return of her property (antique chair).

In the last 50 years, I have had my furniture re-upholstered, never had a problem. This guy does not return your phone calls. He said the work would be done in 7 to 10 days. He had it almost a month. When he did bring it back, he brought it back in the dark so I couldn't see what it looked like. The seams were not sewn back together in the back, and in order to get him to come to the house and sew them, I had to threaten action with my lawyer. The foam he put in the cushions was cheap and did not hold it's shape. I asked for arm rests, I did not receive arm rests. The chair they recovered was done so poorly that the cushion did not even fit the chair. The did not measure correctly. The chair was so uncomfortable that after three weeks of using it, I developed a blood clot in my leg. I now have to have the chair re-done, at my expense, by someone who will do a quality job. I absolutely would not recommend hiring this person/company for any of your re-upholstering needs. It will not be done right, and will cost you more money in the end.Product_Or_Service: Furniture re-upholsteringOrder_Number: Invoice # [redacted]Desired SettlementI paid over [redacted] for this service/product, and it was a disaster. I would appreciate a full refund so I can have this done correctly.
