Called company to repair overhead door panel. Repair improperly done which resulted in further damage to door. Calls not returned in timely manner.12/19/2013 company reviewed what needed to be repaired. On 1/20/2014 company installed new garage panel. I paid $320.81 by personal check at time for completed work. Called company on 1/21/14 because garage door was making noise on opening and closing. Wrong panel installed. Left message. No return call until 2/12/2014 even though I called in the following dates and left messages: 1/21, 1/24, 1/28, 1/31. 2/7. When I spoke with company on 2/12 he said that the weather had been cold and to let rubber expand and to call in spring. In the meantime door did not get better and I called in March. No return call. At end of June door broke further with 2 additional panels damaged. Called 7/3, 7/11, 7/21 with no response. Reached company on 7/25, explained problem and set up appointment for 7/27. Company came and first said that door was hit and damage could not have resulted from anything they did. I pointed out that the panel that was originally damaged was not replaced but the one under it was eventually causing a total of 3 panels to buckle. Company said they would work up an estimate and would split the cost do installing 3 new panels of a four panel door. As of today 8/10/2014 I have not received an estimate.Desired SettlementI am seeking a refund of $320.81 which was the cost of the original repair.

Regarding the capability of the technicians assigned to complete the installation of the service-door opener and track at the [redacted] station. On March 19, 2014 P. J. Overhead Door, Inc. replaced the service-opener and related components in the [redacted] at a cost of $1,517.00. However the technicians assigned by the company cut the wiring and removed all the tag identifiers on the ends. Being aware that the electrical was our expense the [redacted] Department called an electrician to hook up all the wiring that was cut which took 12 labor hours to complete. In speaking with the electrician he informed us that if wires had not been cut the job to wire the new equipment would have been a maximum of 2 labor hours. As a result the [redacted] was billed $75.00 per hour for the 12 hours for a total of $900.00, an additional $750.00.Desired SettlementThe [redacted] believes that they should not be responsible for the additional 10 labor hours performed by the electrician to correct the wiring problem caused by the P.J. Overhead Door technicians. We are seeking payment for the additional 10 hours ($750.00) needed to correct the problem.
