I am rejecting this response because:
In their response they indicate we "discussed" over the counter treatments and in office treatments. This wasnt the case. In the discussion I had with the doctor, after having been diagnosed with a wart, I indicated I would get over the counter treatments to get rid of it. I informed the doctor I only came in to make sure it wasn't cancerous. She said that was fine, but that she could also give it a treatment before I left. I then told her I would just do the over the counter option, and she responded that her treatment would "not be a problem." Without further discussion, or having time make a statement or ask a question, she was spraying my head (two quick little blasts). I was then sent on my way. I then turned around and was billed hundreds of dollars for something I would have elected out of, given the opportunity. This office is unethical and dishonest. And regarding the phone call, I did return her call and never heard back. The office manager was not in the room during my visit but throughput our conversations would make assertive statements to me about what was said and/or done. When I explained her understanding wasn't how it went, I requested to talk to the doctor. She refused and wouldn't let me talk to the doctor, so I turned to the Revdex.com.

[redacted] made an appointment to see Dr. S[redacted] due to concerns. Dr. S[redacted] gave him the options of treatment of over the counter or in the office. She gave pros and cons about both forms of treatment but did not go over the financial side. Dr. S[redacted] is not aware of patient’s insurance...

benefits. Insurance benefits is a contract between the patient and their insurance company. [redacted] was aware that the in office treatment was quick but may require multiple treatments. The treatment that we provide is medical grade and is stronger and more effective than over the counter treatments. [redacted] chose to have the treatment done at our office on this appointment. The total amount for his treatment was $343.00 his insurance allowed $89.89 and $253.11 was written off. The office visit charge was $242.00 which his insurance paid $29,04 and left a $30.00 copay. The total amount due from [redacted] is $119.89 which is a combination of his copay and his deductible. A total amount of $436,07 was written off. I had left a message for [redacted] to give me a call back to resolve this on 09/25/2015 but he had not returned my call.I apologize for the confusion that [redacted] has about our office and that treatments are free and that he feels that Dr. S[redacted] deceived him. No information was withheld from [redacted], every question that he asked on that day of his appointment was answered and it was his decision to have treatment done.If you have any questions please feel free to contact me,Thank you, Office Manager Plastic Surgery and Dermatology Associates[redacted]Fairfax, VA [redacted]
