Review: On July 10th 2 tech's from Precision Tech came to my house to determine what the problem was. My a/c unit (outside and inside) had ice on parts of it. The tech said I had a filter that needed to be replaced (I didn't) and I needed freon. I don't believe I needed freon but agreed to let him add it anyway. Guess I felt I was at their mercy. 2 days later ice is back. I start doing minimal research on A/C units and ice. Seems all agree that the very first thing you should do is check and make sure all vents are open (mine were closed in 40% of the house) and o also make sure return ducts were not being blocked. Mine were all open and free, nothing blocking. I opened all vents and waited approx 2 hrs for ice to melt. I turned unit back on and it has been working fine. I notified Precision in June about this issue and was told Sal would get back to me (Sal D[redacted]). He did not. I wrote an email to today 8-28-15. Below is the email. She called me back for further explanation and went over the whole event for the 2nd time.

Kim, I had called about an issue I had for last visit. I informed you that I believed the tech made a wrong call as to what the problem was with my ac unit. He said I had a filter that needed to be replaced and that the unit needed freon. I told you 2 days later ice was back and it turned out that I had too many vents closed in my house. That should have been the first thing they checked for. It was not. I am writing this note in the hopes I can get restitution (my money). If I don't hear back I will assume no one is interested in this issue and I will finish my complaint with the Revdex.com. Actually I will pursue my complaint regardless since that would be the right thing to do.

On July 10th 2 technicians arrived at [redacted] house and immediately connected high and low pressure gauges. Indoor coil was frozen which was due to dirty filter, limiting air flow. As per gauge readings freon needed to be topped off, technician added 1 lb of freon to return it to proper levels. As you can see of invoices , minimum service call cost is $185.00, which consists of $95.00 service call and $90.00 for one hour of labor with a 1 hour minimum. [redacted] was given a free service call and her bill included the cost of freon, which her bill clearly shows she was charged less than a standard service call visit. [redacted] then scheduled a follow up visit , as per her daughter the air was not cold enough. When [redacted] returned home she found that the air was working fine and cancelled on the day of service. On a seperate occasion [redacted] called to schedule a follow up visit and again cancelled on the day of service. Both times we were willing to return at no cost. If there are any other questions or concerns pertaining to this issue we will return at no charge to correct.

I am rejecting this response because:The issue with the freon did not fix the freezing issue. Prior to reporting to the Revdex.com I contacted the company twice to voice my concern. Both times they assured me that someone would return my call. No one returned call. I do not believe I needed freon.The unit is less than 6 years old. Once I opened all the vents (of which more than half were closed) the problem was fixed. I stand by my original complaint and have no reason to warrant another visit since the problem no longer exists.
