Label names are misleading/non-transparent Example product: PETER RABBIT ORGANICS - SWEET POTATO, CORN AND APPLE - Organic vegetable and fruit snack - Only pure vegetables and fruit The ingredients read: Organic Apple, Organic Sweet Potato, Organic Corn, Organic Lemon Juice Concentrate 2nd Example: Their "Peter Rabbit Organics Veggie Snacks" majority ingredient is a fruit not a vegetable The product name infers there is more Sweet Potato and vegetable than fruit or other ingredients like apple because it does list the greatest ingredient first and in descending order as commonly practiced in the industry It is a health issue because misleading titles cause wrong dietary decisions Other reputable companies in the same market use transparent labeling and would not label their products this way A customer can think they were paying for sweet potato/corn (lesser/least ingredients) when they are actually over paying for apple (majority ingredient) There is mot

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Based on blind and non blind taste tests that I have conducted your biased assertion that the labeling is titled on predominate flavors is or highly subjectiveFor example the Kale, Broccoli and Mango (with Banana) failed 100% percent on your assertionThe only identifiable flavors were Banana(which you don't even list on some of your packaging) and "some kind of citrus" and on a non blind test only people were able to "maybe" taste some kind of Brassicas flavor that you would find in a powdered form This makes sense because the first ingredient is Banana and the least ingredients are broccoli, kale, and lemon juice concetrate(Note: Kale is the 1st on the label title and nobody tasted kale)The powder is probably the only reason it looks green. The USDA's opinion that you can title your label inaccurately as long as your list the ingredients in order on the package or not violate any other rules is irrelevantBroccoli is a strong flavor and if your assertion was true a majority (or even more than some) of people would identify it on a blind and non-blind testYour product labeling is misleadinghttp://www.pumpkintreesnacks.com/wp-content/themes/pumpkin-tree/img/he... Label names are misleading/non-transparent
Example product: PETER RABBIT ORGANICS - SWEET POTATO, CORN AND APPLE - Organic vegetable and fruit snack - Only pure vegetables and fruit
The ingredients read: Organic Apple, Organic Sweet Potato, Organic Corn, Organic Lemon Juice Concentrate
2nd Example: Their "Peter Rabbit Organics Veggie Snacks" majority ingredient is a fruit not a vegetable
The product name infers there is more Sweet Potato and vegetable than fruit or other ingredients like apple because it does list the greatest ingredient first and in descending order as commonly practiced in the industry
It is a health issue because misleading titles cause wrong dietary decisions
Other reputable companies in the same market use transparent labeling and would not label their products this way
A customer can think they were paying for sweet potato/corn (lesser/least ingredients) when they are actually over paying for apple (majority ingredient)
There is mot

Our labeling meets legal requirements and is not intended to be misleadingOur flavor names reflect the predominant flavor of the product, for example our Sweet Potato product tastes of Sweet Potato and Corn, not predominantly of appleAs required legally the ingredients are listed in order, with
the greatest firstWe hope this is helpful

I am rejecting this response because:Based on blind and non blind taste tests that I have conducted your biased assertion that the labeling is titled on predominate flavors is false or highly subjective. For example the Kale, Broccoli and Mango (with Banana) failed 100% percent on your assertion. The only identifiable flavors were Banana(which you don't even list on some of your packaging) and "some kind of citrus" and on a non blind test only 2 people were able to "maybe" taste some kind of Brassicas flavor that you would find in a powdered form.  This makes sense because the first ingredient is Banana and the least ingredients are broccoli, kale, and lemon juice concetrate. (Note: Kale is the 1st on the label title and nobody tasted kale). The powder is probably the only reason it looks green. The USDA's opinion that you can title your label inaccurately as long as your list the ingredients in order on the package or not violate any other rules is irrelevant. Broccoli is a strong flavor and if your assertion was true a majority (or even more than some) of people would identify it on a blind and non-blind test. Your product labeling is misleading. http://www.pumpkintreesnacks.com/wp-content/themes/pumpkin-tree/img...
