Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI do not accept Mr [redacted] requirement that the invoice be paid in full Mr [redacted] is attempting to charge us a fee of 55% above his admitted quoted estimateI recall his quote at less than $150.00, but let’s use his numberIt is my opinion that once he realized his fee was going to be substantially greater than his quote, he should have obtained approval for the increased amount before he started workI have no problem paying his labor fees [redacted] , Branch Manager Waumandee State Bank Main Street, Black River Falls, WI Ph: 715-284-NMLS ID #

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]Revdex.com:I have reviewed Mr***'s response and feel it is time to put this matter to rest I will be reluctantly mailing him a check in the amount of $ When this check is added to the $check which I have already sent Mr***, this will satisfy the original invoice in full I refuse to pay a $fee to Mr [redacted] for the time spent discussing the original invoice If Mr [redacted] finds this unsatisfactory, I will gladly meet him in small claims court to discuss this matter further Regards, [redacted]

In a brief meeting to discuss replacing non functional exterior lighting I expressed to Mr*** that my 'guess" is around $per lightI also expressed that labor would be "around" $Mr *** seemed very pleased with that verbal estimate and wanted the job done ASAP since his bank
tellers in the drive thru were having " a difficult time seeing"Later that same day I placed the order with my supply house my cost $per fixtureI really didn't think much of it since I said my "guess" is about $ per light and Mr*** didn't balk at that ball park estimateI got the lights the next morning and installed them late morning that same dayPretty good service if you ask meMind you it was about degrees and the wind was blowing while Mr*** looked out his office windowNot to mention that very few of the circuits were marked on the premisesInstead of spending an extra 1/hour looking for the light circuit to d energize, a process where I would be taking a very real chance of shutting down a critical systemThat event would likely sounding a bank alarm( I try to refrain from sounding bank alarms in my day to day travelsI don't know what a alarm fee may be and I don't intend to). I opted to rewired the exterior lights with the circuits energized (HOT)Being an experienced master electrician I am well aware of the dangers and was confident I could carry out the work required without being injured or causing damage to propertyI also would like to note that of the lights that was replaced was directly in a drive thru alley(I am not fond of being on a step ladder in drive thru lanesPart of the occupation I guessIt's not just a job it's an adventure)I got the job done, verified proper function of the lights, notified Mr, *** of completion, and went on merry wayIn light of all that I think I'm due some markupOr at least a gold star for my tool belt. The first conversation I had with Mr *** regarding the bill was as you may suspect was disagreeable but civilizedI expressed my position that 35% mark up on my material was is more than fairI also informed Mr *** that had I thought there would be a dispute I would have given him a written bid for him to review before handHe seemed to be in a hurry to get the job done and I had a full schedule of other work I was committed toIt seemed to be a small sum for such an objection and from a bank to bootEver heard of fraction reserve lending? You should check that outit's a mind jobAny way, I was not impressed with Mr*** chiseling me after I provided such quick turn around. I sent Mr *** a revised invoice , same markup, same labor, but with additional charges for labor involving disputing over the previous invoice. I would point out that many professionals charge a fee for phone conferencesThis is not some kind of new precedence or unheard of practiceI am a professional, my time is worth something. As for the second conversationIt was quite obvious that Mr*** was upsetI calmly and civilly expressed that indeed "time is money" and yes I was charging him for more time". At that point Mr *** began to rehash his opinion on the disputeI interrupted and stated "Unless you have something new to add, this conversation is overI have customers to attend to". Which I indeed was in the middle of another job with a customerMr*** had nothing new to add and stated that he was "Just going to pay the balance without make up and without any additional charges". "It wasn't a pleasure doing business with you" and he hung upI would suspect (and dates verify) that directly after getting off the phone with me in an upset state he contacted the Revdex.comHad Mr*** spent the time to investigate average markup and contractor protocol/practices (see attached) he would have found my practices and prices to be in line with a huge majority of trade professionals. Instead, in a state of anger he fired off a complaint and wasted your time as well as mine. In my years of business I have never advertised, never had to take someone to court to get paid, and NEVER had a complaint filedMy character, my work, and my dedication is all the word of mouth advertising I will ever need to run a successful businessHow many trade professionals can say that? Mr*** is edging toward defamation of characterIt seem clear to me that Mr*** has little or no experience interacting with trade professionalsFurthermore Mr*** seems to have taken this dispute personallyI have a theoryMr*** attempted to "change the bulb" in one of the lights, unsuccessfully before calling meObviously Mr*** is unqualified to do soAccording to DSPS regulations only a master electrician is qualified to repair or replace HID lighting in or on commercial propertyI could and still can file a complaint with DSPS for his indiscretions. Wasting DPSP personnel time over what has become nothing more than a pissing match is not of my character. Seems to me Mr*** begrudges my knowledge in the field and that is what this is all aboutI believe that Mr***, being a bank assistant VP, is accustom to the golden ruleNot the biblical sense of the termThe other interpretation " The one with the gold makes the rules." I'm sure all you at the Revdex.com can appreciate this statement when you have a complaint of this petty and paltry kind" I wish people had to walk a mile in my shoes sometimes"I mean seriouslyDoesn't this guy have something better to do? It's $and the guy is so upset he wants this to affect my Revdex.com ratingAnd it isn't even his money that is paying the bill ! I don't get it.Please advise me as to any other steps I can take to prevent damage to my reputation as concerned with the Revdex.com.Thank you Quentin *** QJO ElectricDesired outcomeAThese frivolous and spurious charges be dismissed and expunged. We received the complaint ID# [redacted] that was initiated by [redacted].  I have attempted to reach Ms. [redacted] via phone and email. Upon review the records indicate that Ms. [redacted] had applied to an advertisement we had posted on a job board.   [redacted] called her and then...

scheduled her to come in for an interview with us on January 30, 2015.   During the interview [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] discussed different types of clerical and customer service assignments that may be available through RemX in the future.  Ms. [redacted] indicated that she did want to move forward and be hired by RemX.  At that time we did have her complete the new hire paperwork which does include her social security number, address, ect. We submitted Ms. [redacted]’s resume to three separate positions since her interview in our office.  She was selected by the Account Manager for one of our clients and she did have an interview at this client’s site on February 16, 2015.  Other candidates were selected by the Account Manager for this position after the interviews, and this was communicated to Ms. [redacted].  She has not been selected by clients or Account Managers for the other two positions.  [redacted] has been in communication with Ms. [redacted] to let her know the status of these submittals. As we hire hundreds of people every month, and thousands of people every year, please be assured that we only used Ms. [redacted]’s new hire paperwork to comply with our national company’s policies and federal new hire guidelines.  Her information is very secure and will never be compromised or misused. We are required by policy to keep her online application on file, even if she does not get placed.  However, if asked, we will shred Ms. [redacted]’s other documents so no personal information will remain in our office. We are disappointed that Ms. [redacted] did not communicate uneasiness with us as we could have easily relieved her concerns.  There are many other Employment Staffing Agencies in the Valley, and in the Nation, and all of these agencies do ask for socials, addresses, ect. when hiring new candidates. Please contact us if there is anything else that we do to help.

I am charging 35% mark up, not 55%. This is a difference of $280.00 from my verbalestimate. I would not call that a substantially greater amount than what Mr [redacted] was thinking the bill would be.
Completing the job was time sensitive according to Mr [redacted]. His "bank tellers were having trouble seeing what they were doing". That sounds like a bad situation to me.  I had a tiny hole in my schedule for this job. I told Mr. [redacted] that fact.  If I didn't do this job ASAP  Waumendee bank drive through would not have had lights for 2 weeks minimum. So for Mr. [redacted] to say I should have gotten approval for $280.00 increase after the fact is a pretty weak argument.
In short, I had no reason to think that $280.00 was going to break the bank (literally).
He was in a hurry and I had little time in my schedule to fool around.
As a resolution
A .
I will offer a payment plan to Wamundee bank.$40.00 per month for 7 months 0% interest.
I have offered payment plans to low or fixed income individuals at no interest.  So far I have had very good luck with people paying the     balance due. Generally they are very appreciative of the service and flexibility of payment.
B. Wamundee bank can coordinate a new electrician to remove the lights I installed and reinstall different lights. I would reimburse them the portion of the invoice they have already paid. I would rather lose $120.00 in labor than $280.00 in mark up.
In closing.
I appreciate that the Revdex.com offers mediation services at a nominal fee. However I would prefer to take this to a legally binding small claims court where I may recoup a portion of my effort through legal fees. If the need for a judgment arises I will provide the Revdex.com a copy of the findings of fact.
Thank you

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not accept Mr. [redacted] requirement that the invoice be paid in full.  Mr. [redacted] is attempting to charge us a fee of 55% above his admitted quoted estimate. I recall his quote at less than $150.00, but let’s use his number. It is my opinion that once he realized his fee was going to be substantially greater than his quote, he should have obtained approval for the increased amount before he started work. I have no problem paying his labor fees.
