Quality Air & Sheet Metal, Inc. Reviews (2)

Review: I scheduled a central air conditioning non emergency maintenance visit two weeks in advance for Monday July 10 with a technician arrival time slot of 1 pm to 4 pm. At 3 pm I called to confirm when the technician would arrive and was told by the owner of the company they no longer service my area. 3.5 months ago they came to my home and did a 700.00 dolloar plus heating repair without an issue. I use them because they installed the HVAC system in my new home. I was not called or notified of this decision and took a day off from work to be here to let the service folks in. My phone number on file is currect and confirmed from my recent use of Quality Air for my heating repair. To not call and leave the customer out there waiting is unacceptable. They did say they tried to call a number but it is not the number on file from my recent repair. In either event to call the morning of the service repair date after the customer has taken the day off is an extremely poor business model.Desired Settlement: Due to the poor customer service of the management of Quality Air located at [redacted] they need to do the scheduled maintenance I scheduled and waive the 149.00 fee as a show of good faith.

Response:

It is true we do not service the area anymore. I agree the customer should of had more notice then the day of the service tune up that we no longer service his area. So as in good faith we rescheduled the customer at no charge for the tune up.

Review: In August, 2010 my wife and I had our central air conditioning system replaced by this firm. The [redacted] system supplied had a five (5) year warranty on the coil, which failed in the last year. This firm is associated with [redacted] and has a major web presence. On the firm's website, the firm advertises an installation/service presence in South Jersey, and had no problem visiting our [redacted] to provide a sales estimate and installing the system. The firm had no problem installing the system. The firm contacted us quite aggressively to buy a "maintenance contract" for our system, but my wife and I opted to chose a maintenance contract with South Jersey Gas. The system needed service in the Spring of 2013, and the maintenance provider felt the cause of the refrigerant leak was a bad fitting at the condenser. We incurred a $500 expense, but the system worked through the summer. This spring, it was clear that the coil had failed. In accordance with the [redacted] warranty, we contacted the installing contractor, Quality Air. After 20 minutes on the phone, the warranty was validated and we were even told how much the repair would cost us, we were told that Quality Air does not service our area. I find it interesting that a firm that had no problem installing our system, and advertises a major presence in South Jersey, would not honor the warranty given with their system.Desired Settlement: I would like Quality Air to reimburse us for the cost of a local contractor to replace our coil, including the refrigerant. This firm should have more integrity, and should be held accountable to provide warranty service to its customers.
