Quality Dental Care does an excellent job putting patients at ease with the whole dental process It is the only dental office I have ever been offered a "comfort menu"/
The employees are very friendly and treat customers with care an respectl I ove going there and I am not a fan of going to dentists but I do, anyway!

I had dental work done in March/April 2015 a [redacted]l, which was paid by the insurance company [redacted]. In September 2015 I had a 6 month cleaning, which was paid by [redacted] aka [redacted] of New York (I switched dental insurance companies). On Friday 11/**/15 I received a predetermination of benefits for a [redacted]l from my insurance company [redacted]. I called up Quality Dental and spoke to Tammy to find out if my insurance company Cigna paid them for my [redacted]l that was done in March/April, I was told yes in May. I followed up on my cleaning in September and was told it was paid by [redacted] on October *, 2015. I explained to Tammy that I received a predetermination of benefits for a [redacted]l dated 11/*/2015 in the amount of $1,680.00 and this was paid all ready in May 2015 and I have not been there since September *, 2015. Tammy (which was very plesant) explained to me that it is a mistake and when the billing manager Margaret comes in she will have her look into it. I told her my insurance has allowance and this is going to max it out and that this mistake made me nervous because my insurance ID number is a Social Security number. Tammy explained that this is a predetermination and that this is not billed to the insurance company. It is only to find out how much the insurance company will cover for the requested services that were needed. After I hung up with Quality Dental I called my insurance company [redacted] to make sure no payments go out. To my surprise there was a claim for a oral exam and x-rays from 10/**/2015 that was just paid out on 11/**/15 in the amount of $42.30. Once again I have not been there since September [redacted] and the all my dental services were paid in full. I called back Tammy and explained that a claim was put in for services for 10/**/15 and a check is on the way for $42.30 and that this is a problem. She could not help me since the billing manager Margaret left for the day and Margaret would get back to me on Monday 11/**/15. Tammy did insured me that the check will be returned to the insurance company and she would have Margaret get back to me. Margaret did call me on Monday 11/**/15 and left a message that this is a mistake just a mistake that there is a patient with with similar name that had an appointment the same day as me in September and the payout of $42.30 will be returned to [redacted] and that this was a mistake and she does not know what to say. I can not believe this statement since I have been there since 9/*/15 and my dental work was paid for on 10/8/15 the claim is from 10/**/15 which means the other patient was there in October not in September the same day as me. This claim is from October [redacted] and the predetermination is from November [redacted] . Also, even if they picked the wrong patient from there database for invoicing I can admit someone can make mistake we are all human. But select the wrong similar patient name twice once for October but again in November not sure about this. My insurance company did receive a call from Margaret from Quality Dental on 11/**/15 stating that the check in the amount of $42.30 will be returned to [redacted]. I know this is not a big claim and the money will be returned retuned, but how many other clients at Quality Dental are being billed wrong and they do not even know about it. If I never received the predetermination of benefits for a [redacted]l that was not for me I would of never known about the other claim that was paid out in the amount of $42.30 and I might have been billed for the [redacted]l in the amount of $1,680.00. This would of wipe out my yearly allowance which does not renew until July. I think Quality dental needs to be watched as far a billing and you need to stay on top to this by reviewing all the insurance claims, if you are going to use them. You might even want to call your insurance company to see who is billing what, to whom and how much. Quality Dental also might want to to think about how they are billing insurance companies and maybe need to have a buddy system put in to place. On person inputs claims and another reviews the claim before it is released to the insurance company. Insurance is not cheap and you do not get much coverage for what you pay. This is not something that you just call a mistake just a mistake and then they use the wrong patients name and insurance company twice. I also wonder if I did not find out about the $42.30 payout would Margaret at Quality Dental catch the mistake just a question to keep in mind and that it was just a mistake, just a mistake.
