I signed a contract for Solar Panels with Quality First and was told if I decided to cancel this contract, that I would need to notify them within business daysI notified them on the 2nd business day that I was no longer interested in the solar panels due to the fact they did not include battery backupsI received a call only a few minutes after I left the message asking why and how they could get me to stay with themI told them to send me information however at no point did I rescind my request to cancel my contractAlso at no time was I informed that I would have had to submit this request in writing(Neither the day I signed the contract or the day I requested to cancel it), and was under the impression that verbal cancellation was acceptableWhen following up on the phone, ***, the Sales Manager said "I agree you should have been informed that it needed to be in writing but I think you should honor your contract"This is not acceptable business practice to leave out infor

ON 7-16-I ENTERED A CONTRACT WITH QUALITY FIRST HOME IMPROVEMENT,INCTO HAVE SOME CONCRETE
WORK DONE ON MY HOMEI PAID THE REQUIRED DEPOSIT OF $440.00, WITH THE BALANCE TO BE PAID UPON
COMPLETION OF THE WORK, AT THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK THE BALANCE OF $AFTER THE WORKERS
LEFT MY HOME I NOTICE THE EDGES OF THE CONCRETE WAS VERY UNEVEN AND RAGGITY I WASNT PLEACED WITH
THE APPEARENCE OF THE FINISHED WORKI CONTACTED QUALITY FIRST TO INFORM THEM THAT I WAS'T PLEASED
WITH THE FINISHED WORKTO HIS DAY THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO ANY OF MY CALLSI HAVE LEFT SEVERAL
MESSAGES VIA VOICE MAIL, BUT NO RESPONDS AS OF YETI'VE GROWN FRUSTRATED FROM BEING IGNORED!!!!
ALL I WANT IS TO HAVE THE QUALITY OF WORK THAT I PAID FOR AND WHAT THEY GUANENTEED ME

I am rejecting this response because: it is unresponsive, inaccurate, misleading, and does not address the complaint or remedies
The factory fitted door and door frame assembly delivered may, or may not, have been installed reasonably, can't tell without removing and inspecting it, however, the door frame reinforcement plate contracted to be installed to reinforce the lock area of the door frame, to guard against common kiattacks, was clearly improperly and inadequately installed resulting in significant financial loss and property damage that Quality First Home Improvement is culpable for and needs to provide some form of recognition, reasonable reimbursement, restitution, and compensation for
The Quality First Home Improvement reference in their comments to the frame splitting versus the frame coming out is consistent with, and a direct result of, the lack of proper and adequate installation of the door frame reinforcing plate which, with the directly resulting losses, is the focus of the complaint
What Quality First Home Improvement refers to as a "Security Door" in their response is actually a storm door, not intended, or appropriate, as a "Security Door", and not applicable to the failure of the entry door frame reinforcement contracted for that was improperly and inadequately installed
Quality First Home Improvement has no insight regarding how safe or unsafe I, or my family, may feel in the area the work was performed, and has no right to make any of the statements or comments cited in that regard
For clarity, our area, where the work was performed, is considered very safe in terms of all types of crime, and our reason for including the entry door frame reinforcement was general safety and prudence based on the widely known fact that most burglaries start with an exterior door being breached or kicked in, and this can be averted by having such a door frame reinforcement plate properly installed on the door frame. Our storm door was selected to allow options for screen or glass panels to be selected based on the weather conditions, and, although it does have a keyed latch, is not designed or intended to provide any significant security; easily pulled open when latched
The statements made by Quality First Home Improvement pertaining to no residential doors being breproof, and that all can be kicked in is inaccurate and misleading. Addition of a properly and appropriately installed entry door reinforcement plate, such as was contracted to be installed, is capable of resisting all but the most ardent and aggressive kiattacks. It is also well documented that after a couple of kicks, if the door and/or door frame do not yield, the burglars will move on to an easier target. The improperly and inadequately installed entry door reinforcement plate allowed the door frame to fail and splinter when the latches broke through in two kicks as evidenced by the boot marks on the door
It is to the benefit of Quality First Home Improvement that they do not choose to stand behind the quality of their work in this instance. If they were to be standing behind their work, as my belongings were, and as myself and my family have been, they would have been seriously injured by the improperly and inadequately installed entry door frame reinforcement plate that they installed flying out at them, and then been accosted by the burglars who were able to make easy entry due to the negligence exhibited by their company in installing the entry door frame reinforcement plate contracted for
I look forward to the continued assistance of the Revdex.com to guide this complaint to a mutually acceptable closure, and to assure Quality First Home Improvement is suitably graded by the Revdex.com based on their performance and handling of this significant customer complaint

We had solar panels installed and they did not complete the job leaving the metal expose and uncut I have emailed times and spoken to someone twice and a month later it is still not done

We had new windows installed by Quality First Absolutely love how warm our home is now It's also very quiet as we live next to the airportPS: I worked in the conservation dept at a utility company for years

Yes I bought a new roof from this company and they did not seal around the swamp cooler and a few of the things on top so when it rained the water came through the roof leak down those areas and came through the hallway ceiling leaking down and made a puddle of the hallway which I did not see when I got up and walk down the hallway I slipped and I fell and hurt my knee I have contact this business multiple times to have them come out and fix what happened check the attic to make sure any of the insulation got wet or any of the wood got damaged and all they would say is oh the woods fine in any insulation that got wet when I get mildew the ceiling now has a watermark going down a line and one of the lights don't work and then because that day that the water was in the hallway mean expecting that a brand new roof would not leak I hurt my knee and I lost a day worth of pay and I was laid up for a few days resting my knee I did take a video and pictures of when it was raining in the league

Ok, here is our experience and hope that this helps in your researchWe had contracted QHFI to install a solar system for usAfter more than a year, we had a system that was far under performing (according to contract 8500KW, only produced ~6200KW) QFHI, Scott G (VP Ops) agreed to add additional panels after months of delays, denials, and attempts to derail what was in the contractFinally QFHI agreed to add additional panels to the systemAll was fine until the first rains of the yearDamage to the roof caused leaks and water damageReached out to Scott and Gary K*** (Owner) Still trying to resolve these issues, result in non-returned calls, no responses to emails, and still battlingSo much for the year warranty that they CLAIM to offer!!
STEER CLEAR!! They will not stand by what they sell/installWhat started out to be a good, green solution has gone all wrong

I am rejecting this response because: I do not want this complaint closed based on what I am told they will be doingIn the past First Quality stated they were going to handle the problem and based on their statement the claim was closedThen, as all of us know, the problem was not taken care of for monthsThen when someone came to the house to handle the problem they didn't have the right suppliesThen it was promises, promises, and months of no action. I will not consider the problem handled until the work is complete. An aside to this is that I was not given any options regarding the date they will be comingI did tell *** that I will be missing a class in order to accommodate their scheduleThis is a class that I plan all other appointments aroundHowever, since it didn't appear that I had a choice, I agreed on the date he proposedI definitely look forward to being able to send you a message that the work has in fact been completedThank you again for your assistance

Tom did an excellent job, very happy with his service!!

The matter with the customer was settled with the customer. An agreed to refund of $was sent to hime. He promised to retract his Revdex.com complaint

I am rejecting this response because: The purpose of this email is to inform you that my complaint/issue regarding the leaking windows is no longer limited to just leaking windowsMy complaint/issue now extends to water damage caused as a result of those leaking windows. I am glad that the business is finally taking necessary steps to resolve the leaking windows situation, but that does not completely solve the problem because there is another problem that was created because of the business’s gross negligence to act responsibly and take care of the leak issue in a prompt and timely mannerThe water leak has caused damages to the drywall around all leaking window areasThe paint has peeled off in numerous places and there also are cracks in several placesThere were no drywall damages when the leak was first discovered and reported to the business and if the business had taken the necessary corrective steps that they are now taking for the window leaks, this whole mess could have been completely avoidedEvery window they have pulled out and reinstalled so far was found to have been incorrectly installed when they were first installed in September 2015. Under the circumstances, I am asking that besides fixing the leaking windows, the business also fix the damages caused by the window leaksWhat I am asking is not unreasonableThey installed the windowsThe windows leaked because they were not installed correctly in the first placeWhen the issue was brought to their attention, there was no sense of urgency on their part correct the situationAll they could offer me was promises and runaround for several months until I reported the matter to Revdex.comThey had many opportunities to fix the problem, but they did not do thatThe right thing for the business to do would be to also fix the damage that was caused due to the leaking windows. Thank You, ***

This service has been completed for the customer
