Quality Relocation Services, Inc Reviews (9)

Review: We were assigned Quality Relocation Services by a broker to transport our car from Pennsylvania to my daughter in Oregon. To begin with the date we were given came and went with no contact from the carrier. Finally two days after we were promised a pick up we were contacted and told that the carrier would be arriving that day (Saturday) within 5 hours. After waiting all day with no call, the carrier finally arrived 12 hours later. It was dark and inspection of the outside of the car was difficult but we were okay with that. We were told that the car would be out in Oregon in 2 days as there were two drivers and they drove in tandem. By the following Thursday we had heard nothing. My daughter called them and were told that they would be there soon. On Friday we heard nothing and so she called them again and were told the truck had broken down. On Saturday she contacted them and were told that it would still be a day or two before they would be there since they were in Washington. My daughter decided to get a ride to Washington to meet them to get the car. When she got there, she got in the car and discovered the automatic driver's side seat belt mechanism was broken. She questioned them about it and they told her they didn't do it and it was broken when they picked up the car. I drove the car to the carrier and as it was loaded on the truck it was working perfectly. This repair is going to coast $587. The BMW part of the key chain was gone leaving just a ring. The floor of the car was covered with grease and dirt. The drivers were rather rude to her when she questioned them as to how the car was going to be fixed. So she called the company's number and got voicemail. Since then, we have called the company too many times to even count and either get voicemail or a message that says the mailbox is full. So now I am stuck with @ $600 worth of damage to my car after paying $1375 to have it shipped to begin with. This is not what I expected. I do not recommend this carrier at all unless you want your car to arrive with repairs needed that aren't going to be paid for.Desired Settlement: I want the repair paid for. The broker offered to try to reimburse us after we repair the car, but I don't trust what anyone says to us right now and I don't want to put the money out without a guarantee that it is going to be paid for. We really had to scrape to get the money together for this shipment to begin with and we just don't have extra money right now to pay for a repair for damage we didn't cause. I have also been told to go through my insurance but I have a $500 deductible so this doesn't really help us out much and again, we didn't cause the damage.

Email: [redacted] I just moved here and its really tough for me without car to live her. I am paying a lot of money for cab and all other stuff because of this. Can you do something favor of me .Atleast can I get an update where my car is.Can you give some suggestions what I have to do now. My contact number is [redacted]Desired Settlement: 1250 DOLLARS

The most unethical business practice I have ever dealt with. This company first without authorization loaded a vehicle and then I holding it hostage unless they are paid for something they should have never picked up.

My car got across the country in fine shape. But I couldn't meet them in the day it got here. So it went into storage. It ended up being there for 2 weeks because the company would not answer their phones and never answered my emails and could not figure out my payments. They ended up messing it up multiple times. Storage costs were an additional $450 by the time they figured it out and they only reimbursed my $150.

Review: From the time I was assigned Quality Relocation as my trucking carrier by the brokerage company, I had severe problems with their performance. I was not given proper notice in the pickup of my car. Like many of the other complainants, I had extreme difficulty getting a hold of someone to pick up their phone. They were not communicative, did not promptly give me my driver information, nor keep me updated. Past complaints also indicate this pattern of behavior. Most of all, they were NEGLIGENT in the handling of my car. Quality Relocation returned my car with a broken rear window. Not only is the glass spiderwebbed throughout, but the only reason it did not shatter completely, according to two different industry personnel I have spoken to, is because the heavy amount of tint I had on it kept the glass in place. Quality denied all liability, stating that it was the responsibility of the car owner for inside damages from cargo. However, I adhered to the DOT regulations, secured my cargo, and did not pack my car past the window line. The amount of force used to cause this much damage from dislodging my cargo and near-shattering my window indicates they acted beyond reasonably or within normal practice in transporting my vehicle. Because I cannot wash my car until I get a new window, I cannot even gage the amount of external damage there was as they also returned my car in filthy condition.Desired Settlement: Damages for the all the damage that occurred, accountability

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Absolutely, by far, the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with... Never contacted me with changes to the schedule. They also lost some of my items included in the move, detailed on the contract, and it took them over 4 weeks to "search" their warehouse to tell me they couldn't find the items. Oh, I also had the joy of leaving over 20 messages over the course of one week before I was even able to get a hold of anyone, and that was after they said they'd contact me within 24 hours. And that was only by calling them 10 times in row before anyone answered. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR STUFF. They will lose items and those they do not lose will most likely be damaged, if not destroyed. I should have done more research but I did not take the time. That is my fault, however, please take this review to heart, spend a bit more money, and DO NOT take the risk of hiring this company. Turns out, and I didn't know/read the fine print, the company I chose outsourced my move to this moving company. They were [redacted]. I will be posting the same review on their site too. Do not put yourself in the stressful situation I have recently gone through.

Review: Quality Relocation Services transported a vehicle for me. The car left WA and was transported to SC. The car arrived very late in the evening, 11:30pm. We met at a darkened parking lot to pick up the vehicle. The vehicle was extremely dirty due to traveling a long distance in poor weather. It was not possible to inspect the vehicle. We were told it was in great shape. So we paid the fee in cash as insisted by the carrier. The next day we washed the vehicle and found three creases in the trunck area. I have called the phone muner listed over a dozen times and left countless messages. The company will simply not return my call. I need to file a claim and get my vehicle repaired.Desired Settlement: I would like fort he company to pay for the damage they caused to the vehicle. I have a copy of the intake form that clearly shows the damage was not on the car prior to the shipping.

Stay away from this business. I was given a quote to transport my vehicle for $975.00. Upon delivery of the vehicle I owed $1225. They did not take into account the $175 I gave as a deposit. No one will answer emails or phone calls.

Review: In November, 2013, we contracted with [redacted] Services to transport our vehicle across the country. They, in turn, sub-contracted the actual work to Quality Relocation Services, of which we had no control over or previous contact with. We are seeking reimbursement for car detailing costs associated with the transport of our vehicle by [redacted], and Quality Relocation Services. The car detailing was required after their drivers left the windows down on our 2009 Scion Xb when it was transported from Washington State to New York State in December, 2013. I had assumed that the driver rolled the windows down when arriving at the drop-off point because they were so dirty, to allow for backing off of the truck, to improve visibility.

In addition to the ice, salt and dirt damage that was discovered inside the vehicle, upon changing out a rear light bulb recently, broken glass was discovered inside the tail gate. We had found similar glass pieces inside the vehicle, but assumed that it was from something that had come in through the open windows. There was no mention of damage by the drivers when they dropped the vehicle off. I have retained evidence of the broken glass and am tracking window identification for confirmation of original equipment, or not. It was explained to the [redacted] representative that when the car was dropped off, it was so dirty that I was unable to see through the windows, and the items that we had in the car precluded a thorough analysis of its condition. It was not until I got the car home and started to unpack it, that we found the extent of the damage. I immediately attempted to contact the Quality Relocation Services driver, but they would not answer my calls. So there will not be any indication of damage on the bill of lading, which was subsequently provided to [redacted] Services by me. I provided photo evidence to [redacted] at [redacted] of the damages. His e-mail response to me dated 12/24/13 authorized us to proceed with the detail cleaning, indicating that we would receive full reimbursement. Their company is now not accepting responsibility for the damages, and informs me that they are attempting to obtain reimbursement from their sub-contractor, but have been unable to contact them for disposition. This is ironic because [redacted]'s motto is “we will do anything to make sure that it is a pleasant experience”, yet they have done very little. Future customers need to know the poor level of service they provide when an incident arises. We did not engage the sub-contracting company, Quality Relocation Services, yet [redacted] continues to inform that it s Quality Relocation Services that is responsible, yet they are unable to obtain reconciliation. We are seeking reimbursement in the amount of $248.39 for detailing, of which we submitted a copy of the invoice to [redacted]. We have done everything that [redacted] has requested, yet they refuse to submit reimbursement.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement check for the cost of detailing. $248.39
