Ms*** rented the property at *** *** *** *** * from May 4, to April 30, 2015. At that time, one of our maintenance workers (*** ***) lived in Unit 2. Ms***, for whatever reason, did not get along with Mr*** and felt that because he was maintenance he was
going into her unit. This was not the case. When she expressed concern, we dispatched a different maintenance worker to her unit when she needed repairs. Ms*** did not say anything about property being stolen until after she had vacated the unit. She did call the police but because the property she claimed to have been stolen was in her possession, there was nothing for them to do. There was a court appearance during which the matter was dismissed.Ms*** vacated the property with minor damages that were deducted from her security deposit of $800. Ms*** received $back.Ms*** is not entitled to anything additional. Lorna ***

in response to the complaint regarding our property at [redacted] had Quality Residence known about an issue involving our neighbors we...

would have resolved such issue as soon as possible. With that being said quality residences will send an exterior crew to assess the problem and work to mend such problems. as far as alleged damage we suggest you reach out to your insurance company. thank you.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2016/01/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I would if they would actually have an exterior crew come out to take care of the problem but, to date no one from Quality Residence has made any attempt to contact me. Problem STILL not addressed....

There response is false... The property management is the reason there ever was a problem between me and Mr. [redacted]. I moved in without a garbage can and was told by management to put my trash in the same bin as there's tell I receive mine. [redacted] and his wife had a problem with that and kept taking it out and placing it on my back pourch. I would call the office on a daily and my housing team to inform them of the problem. I would also call the office and imform them of the problem with no resolution. So it lead to me calling the cops multiple times. [redacted] was entering my unit without my say. They never sent a new maintenance guy to my unit. [redacted] was who they sent. I did not make a report of my iteams missing after I left I made those reports before I moved and have thise police reports as well. As for me having the iteams in my possession that is also false I reported that item stolen and have that police report as well and proof that he has the item as well gave that to the officer as well minor damage there was no damage to the unit in my part the damage that they are charging me for is it damage that was already there I have videos of my moving and videos of my move out. I never went to court for anything whatsoever so that also is fales. Every time the cop would call and speak to the office they were all so disrespected and I will get those officers badge numbers and name to prove that as well nothing was resolved and none of my items were returned my truck was broken into which that was police report it my storage unit was broken into and [redacted] would say the office give them a work order to enter it and see what's in it when I moved in that your new was empty [redacted] was aware of that it was trying to see what I had in my storage unit but was unsuccessful on getting in it. He would use the excuse of the office for many many many things.

It is unfortunate that Ms. [redacted] is now making this claim.  I was not the Property Manager when she moved in to our unit  However, upon review of her file, I notice that her unit passed the Section 8 Inspection on May 4, 2015.  It states nothing about a trash can.  I am not clear as to what she is seeking as there is no monetary amount being requested.  Her Complaint states "refund" but refund of what?  As stated in my earlier response, she received a refund of her security deposit.  The damages consisted of a broken closet door, broken blinds, torn linoleum, broken refrigerator and garbage removal.  However, she was only charged for the blinds and the closet door.As for her stolen items, I find nothing in her file by way of complaint.  She states she has police reports, however I've never seen them.  When speaking with the police last year, I remember being told that Ms. [redacted] had no proof that Mr. [redacted] took anything.  The only item discussed with Ms. [redacted] was a tablet on which she stated there was a picture of Mr. [redacted] on it so he stole it.  I then asked her how she knew this and she stated she was looking at it.  My response was "how could he have stolen your tablet if you have it in your possession."  It ended there. So, again, I take the position that there is nothing we owe Ms. [redacted].

We allowed the Complainant to relocate from one of our properties to their current address because of issues they were having with their downstairs neighbors.  I allowed this as a courtesy as I believe my tenants have a right to live peacefully.  They requested a move-in to their new...

address on the 15th of the month so they would have time to clean the vacating unit.   Mr. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] were given the keys to their new unit on Saturday, July 16, 2016.  When it came to signing the lease, I was informed by Ms. [redacted] that Mr. [redacted] was out of town and would not be available to sign.  I informed Ms. [redacted] they both needed to sign the lease and she suggested that Mr. [redacted] give me a call when he came back to arrange it.  To date, I have not heard from Mr. [redacted] OR Ms. [redacted] despite numerous phone calls and messages to schedule a lease signing.  The fact that they may have not begun their move until July 20th is of no consequence to me as they had legal possession of both units until July 31, 2016.As I explained to Ms. [redacted], this is a property management company and emergencies arise which was why she was not able to get the keys to the new unit on the 15th.  In a good faith effort, Shatayia went to their then current residence to make sure they had the keys on Saturday (her day off).  Ms. [redacted] nor Mr. [redacted] complained at any time about not having the keys to their new unit a day earlier until now. The fact that they were allowed them to move before their lease ended to afford them a more peaceful living situation without the required 30-day notice, to me, shows outstanding customer service.  If Ms. [redacted] had a complaint, I wish she would have voiced it to me directly.
