Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:First of all my personal life has nothing to do with roofing my homeI am a missionary from Brazil, living in Dallas for years and had no plans to move back to BrazilIn our conversation, I told him that I had plans to sell the house, because is too big for my wife and I, since the kids are goneAlso I told him that I had a trip to Brazil to help a friend in his project building a church building thereHe really made a dollars donation, which I was very glad as well the local pastor in Brazil ( we bought some chairs) About the roof leaking after he finished the job, and reading his excuses about siding,soffit, etc, what surprises me is before he works in my house I did not have any leaking or problem ( the replacement was due a hail storm WITHOUT A LEAK AT ALL)About his request for more opportunities, I understood that I gave enough since he could not resolve the issue and have always a new excusesHe could blame everything but never accepted they did not do a good jobLast thing is he's bragging about his crew but not knowing that I also speak spanish , I talked with the guys and they told me that they knew MrStandon less than a week due to the amount of work they having because of the stormThose are a few reasons to refuse his excusesI already contacted my insurance and they will send an adjuster so I can point all the areas with problems Regards, [redacted]

When contracting with Mr *** in March of he told me that area's of home had always had problemsI told him that he has many overhanging tree's and that debris sitting up there for extended amounts of time would deteriorate the shingles prematurelyEspecially since his home has a very low
pitch He told me that is what the previous roofers who had roofed his home had told him this also and that he would try better to keep the leaves and debris off the roof Two years later Mr *** called and said it was leaking in the same area as it had leaked beforeUpon inspection there was deep piles of debris in the valley's and in many area's of the roofMr *** informed me his health was failing him (he has since passed) and it was hard for him to keep the debris from pilling upWe cleaned his roof and repaired the area's with the damaged shingles In June Mrs *** called and said it was leaking againI met with her and inspected her roofWhen I informed her of the debris that was on her roof she was obviously very upset and informed me that Mr *** had fallen off the roof and passedFor this I am very sorry and tried to do everything posable to calm Mrs *** and informed her we would do anything we possibly could to helpI will not mention the ugly things she yelled at me and can understand her being upsetFrom a professional stand point I would never say the words "All Roofs Leak" That is completely falseI tried to show her pictures of the damage the debris was causing but she was not in the state of mind to address a problem at that timeI asked if I could hire an independent adjustor at our cost to confirm that the problem was from continuous debris sitting on the roof which has a very low pitchShe agreed to have someone from her family reach out to me to make this happen but we have not heard form themWe have even reached out to her but with no response We still willing to do anything posable to make things right within reason with Mrs ***She mentions that she hired and independent adjustor and the photos of her roof where quite devastatingI have not heard from the adjustor of anyone from her family to address thisI agree there is a problem that needs to be addressed. With over a 1,roofs done it is unreasonable to expect that there will never be any issuesOur company sets aside funds for this but in the last 1,roofs there has only been a fewMost are attributed to trees rubbing or squirrel damage etcWe will go beyond what is expected to please the clientPictures of this roof and the damage caused are available upon requestPlease call our office with any questions or concerns*** ***/owner Quality Roofing and painting

In our conversation, I told him that I had plans to sell the house, because is too big for my wife and I, since the kids are gone. Also I told him that I had a trip to Brazil to help a friend in his project building a church building there. He really made a 200 dollars donation, which I was very glad as well the local pastor in Brazil ( we bought some chairs).   About the roof leaking after he finished the job, and reading his excuses about siding, , soffit, etc, what surprises me is before he works in my house I did not have any leaking or problem ( the replacement was due a hail storm WITHOUT A LEAK AT ALL). About his request for more opportunities, I understood that I gave enough since he could not resolve the issue and have always a new excuses. He could blame everything but never accepted they did not do a good job. Last thing is he's bragging about his crew but not knowing that I also speak spanish , I talked with the guys and they told me that they knew Mr. Standon less than a week due to the amount of work they having because of the storm. Those are a few reasons to refuse his excuses. I already contacted my insurance and they will send an adjuster so I can point all the areas with problems.

When roofing Mr [redacted] home he told me he was a missionary and was selling his home to move to Brazil. We completely  paid for the painting the interior of his home and made a donation to his mission. When Mr [redacted] called me about a leak I sent out the roofer first. He informed me that the...

siding was rotten and needed to be replaced. We replaced the rotten wood over the flat roof and flashed it. I have pictures of work being done and completed upon request. A few months later Mr [redacted] said it was leaking in a different area so I went myself to meet him. Despite any visible damage of a leak I took his word for it. Upon inspection I found an area of his soffit that was missing and could possibly get a wind blown rain in that area. I sent our repair man to install new soffit in the area. He calls this three attempts to repair but it was only tow. I could not see any damage or areas that could be caused from the roof workmanship. I told him if he had any more problems please give me a call. He informed us later it was still leaking but would not give us the opportunity to look at it and see if it was something we could fix. We stand behind our work and would do anything and everything posable to make sure our workmanship is first rate. We do not sub out work. The crew that roofed his home has been with me since 2009. They are a father and his 3 son's and I thin they are the best in the metroplex. Mr [redacted] is wanting $5,000 dollars in damages without giving us the opportunity to rectify the problem. In roofing over 1,000 homes this is a first. I am still willing to meet him and discuss a resolution. We didn't have to replace the rotten wood or install the soffit but we do everything we can to make our customers satisfied but paying out $5,000 is very unreasonable.
