Response:After we installed the kitchen counters for pay, [redacted] asked me if I could install a granite slab on his bathroom counter for free if he were to purchase it, I said "yes" I would cut the end off of the slab and set it for himAt a later date he indicated that the slab would have two sink holes that would need to be cut and fabricated and polishedI told him that we could do that but couldn't do that for free as it is much more labor intensiveHe took offense to this and now is trying to force me into giving him moneyI refuse his demand to pay him money because he is upset about not getting free work.Sincerely *** [redacted] ***Quality Tile & Marble [redacted]

I was NOT prepaid to install a granite slab at a later dateIf he would forward me the invoice that shows he prepaid I would be happy to pay him $(if for any reason, to avoid this disturbed person)

I am rejecting this response because: *** knows he didn't give us an invoiceIf he did he

We paid you for the service and you did not provide the serviceYou left me hanging without so much as a phone callYou still never called me back to explain why you didn't show upThe least you can do is refund the money we paid you

I am rejecting this response because: Well what he is saying is not trueAfter the job was finished we did not purchase any additional graniteThe granite slab we are talking about was left over granite from the kitchen installThis has nothing to do with trying to get something for free and he knows thatIts a shame this is what it has come toHe acknowledged over the phone we had pre paid him and as you can see he was suppose to show up that day and he never didObviously we are not go to come to agreement so what is the next step?

Review: I paid [redacted] to install the granite in my kitchen in our vacation home, which he did. After the installation we had extra granite left over. I paid him ahead of time to cut it for our master bathroom but we didn't have the sinks yet. After some time I got the sinks and spoke with him several times prior to driving up to our vacation home in south Lake Tahoe where he was suppose to cut and install it in our master bathroom. I even spoke with him the day before and he told me he would be there at 10am. Now he didn't show up at 10am but when he did our kitchen he was never on time so I didn't think anything of it. Now we were only there for 4 days and he was suppose to come on Saturday and we were leaving Sunday. By noon I was a little concerned. After calling him about 20 times and texting him about 10 times throughout the day until 8pm, he never showed and I never heard from him again. He has my money and I had to pay someone extra to come on Sunday and cut the granite. This also was not done by the time I left so I had to hire a handyman to install the plumbing and faucets which cost me extra money.Desired Settlement: I would like the the difference I had to pay another granite person to come on Sunday to cut it. I pre paid [redacted] $120 and had to pay the other guy $375. So the difference is $255, which is what I am requesting from him.

I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] knows he didn't give us an invoice. If he did he should have a copy of it for tax purposes. We paid him cash because thats what he wanted and he gave us the best deal for a cash. Attached is a copy of the text message where he told me he would be at the house at 10am on 10/16/15. It also shows where I asked him for the refund since he never showed up. Also attached is the granite [redacted] installed in the kitchen, which matches the granite in the master bathroom. However, like I said I had to pay someone to come install the master bathroom because [redacted] never showed. The reason the pieces match is because they were all purchased at the same time and we paid him to install them. You can tell the type of business man he is by resulting to name calling. I am just asking for you to do the right thing. You know I paid you for it. We spoke of the phone before I even left for Tahoe and you acknowledged I paid you for it and you would come on 10/16/15 to install it. All I am asking is you do the right thing. Why is it so hard for people to do the right thing these days? We paid you for the service and you did not provide the service. You left me hanging without so much as a phone call. You still never called me back to explain why you didn't show up. The least you can do is refund the money we paid you.
