Quality Transmission Hard Parts and Services Reviews (1)

Review: I brought my 1999 [redacted] to Keith D[redacted] at A-1 /Quality Transmission in 2010 he repaired but still had transmission leak. I had other problems in 2012 with same truck that made me park it for 1 year, in which all transmission fluid leaked out. I then towed it back to Keith at Quality Transmission to repair in 2013. He said that transmission needed to be rebuilt and charged me $1829.72 that I paid in full. I picked up truck March 8, 2013 it ran ok for 2 weeks then it broke down on beltway. I had it towed back to him to repair under warranty he kept it for 1 month before it was returned to me, in which he gave me an additional 6 months added to warranty 3-19-13 to 9-19-14. I drove it an additional 1 month till it broke down again on beltway and had it towed to Keith where he then kept it for an additional 2 weeks. I picked up truck where it ran for 1 month when it broke down again.I had it towed to A-1 / Quality Transmission again to Keith where he kept it for an additional 4 months where I was lied to on several Occasions about repair and process of repair. Once picking vehicle up again that should have been repaired it was still leaking fluid and still having same problematic issue. I have continued to return about same issue every 2 weeks with same non repaired results. I have been told numerous lies about it being repaired to no avail, during all this down time and unreliability of truck I have had to trouble friends and families to use their autos. Also turn away hundreds of dollars of work due to no vehicle and all my tools are in that truck. It has been more than a total of 7 times I have returned the vehicle with no proper or finished repair. I have been told that they don't make parts for my truck any more, but he bought two separate transmissions but they didn't work. I was told he was gonna have someone else look at it, that he needs to call tech support but when I questioned him on each individual time. I received totally different excuses each time. Lie after lie he continued to give me, until today 8-8-14 when I took it back to him again for the 8th time to say either fix it properly with no leaks or problematic issues or refund my money . I have lost all confidence in his ability too repair properly. I was dealt with in a non profession way and was basically told he was gonna take out parts he installed. But still not complete total repair because he was unable to acquire parts to repair, he was unable to find used transmission for my truck and he would not give me a full refund back, but he could buy a new transmission and split the difference on a trans that cost $ 4000. The truck blu book is not worth but $1500 to $1700 and I told him that I found plenty online used and new also on line at auto supply store for about $2400. Over the time he has had it he has told me several different prices for a rebuilt transmission that I can't trust him. He is now removing parts that he installed after repair and installing my old parts. The transmission still leaks badly because he cut the high pressure coolant line in two separate places and repaired with rubber hose. I asked other mechanics and googled that repair and it is something that will not work because of such HIGH pressure involved within line. The original problem that I brought it to Keith D[redacted] of A-1 /Quality transmission is no longer the issue, because before It worked fine until the fluid leaked out then he supposed to have rebuilt the trans, and it didn't work long. Its all the work he has done after the so called repair is the problem. It has never worked properly since and he is telling me he is unable to repair correctly and completely but refuses to reimburse my entire cost of the rebuild which is $1829.72. I think it is unfair to pay Keith D[redacted] of A-1/Quality Transmission in full for a job that isn't complete and has more problems than at first diagnosed. If he was unable to repair the Transmission in full he shouldn't have took on my job and my $1829.72 payment in full , but explained it to me before starting the job,and not wait until now to say he can't but he still gets paid and my vehicle isn't repaired fully. Without granting me a total refund I still have a transmission that doesn't work, leaks profusely and he has gotten paid. He is now in a transition from this company to an outreach non profit business called [redacted], Auto training program repairing and teaching transmission. I fear once this is complete on his end all the loose ends and problems he is having with me he will disappear and I will be out of luck, money, and a vehicle.Desired Settlement: To be reimbursed fully my complete payment or my Transmission fully operational with no leaks and no more problematic issues. Do the job right and what I paid for in full.
