Review: My husband and I reviewed local gyms in the area and found that this fitness center was best to meet our needs from what we were told by a representative in charge of signing up new memebers. We were looking for a gym that was in close proximaty to both of our jobs, operated within our childcare schedule and offered personal trainers. At the time we signed up with the representative, the contracts were a little hard to read(not legible). The gentleman told us the basis of the contract and we went ahead and signed(I asked for a copy of the contracts that were legible, to date we have not received these). My compaint is, at the time we signed up, we were not told of the gym relocating, the change in ownership, firing of the personal trainers. We also have not had any membership fees deducted from our account. I have been told by two of their representatives that if no fees/dues have been deducted/paid, then the contracts are void/not valid. We have attemped to resolve this ourselves 4-5 different times. One attempt we were asked to bring in our contracts and receipt of payment, this has apperantley been misplaced in their office, I tried to retreive this paperwork today and no one had it. I am disgruntled because everytime I attempt to contact someone in person or by phone, I get a run-a-round and end up right where I am currently...still disatisfied, and a member of a gym that did not fully disclosed business changes. I want to cancel this membership and attempted to do so today, where the company did not have any cancellation forms on file and asked that I leave my name and number again for a management member to contact me. I did this again and do not suspect any response like previously. We are aggrevated and seeking assistance in this matter. thank your for your time.Desired Settlement: We would like our contracts cancelled/voided and make sure that no dues are charged since to date, none have been taken from our account.

Review: I had an account with ZX fitness which went overdue, I told the multiple times I would pay to which they were not worried. I finally got the money to pay, went to the gym's location I had always went to, and find they had changed names from "ZX FITNESS" to "QUEST FITNESS". I explained to the gentleman behind the desk my situation he said I owed around $190.00 but I could pay him $180.00 to erase my debt owed to ZX fitness and another $60.00 to bring my account current with Quest fitness. Which I payed these amounts on 07/18/2013 and went on to work out and never hear anything else regarding a debt. Months later I find Quest is closed down now and there is no gym at the location for a replacement. Recently I had my credit ran in the process of trying to buy a house, and come to find out I have a debt on my credit report for ZX fitness that was sent to collection since March of 2014 in the amount of $195.00. I have bank statements showing the transactions. The collection company is no help, and nether is the NEW gym that has taken over for ZX fitness and Quest fitness, now Energy Fitness.Desired Settlement: I need this gym or collection company to remove me from the debt list. It has been destroying my credit for several months.

Review: I joined ZX Fitness in September, 2012. At the time of joining, the club representative advised me and my friend to only sign one contract. The reasoning for this was to save money and we were both advised by the club representative that the person that did not sign the contract could be my permanent buddy. This buddy would reap the same benefits just by tagging along with the paying member. So, one person (member) signed the contract, which was a month to month contract. The member and the buddy were approached (at the same time) by a trainer who was promoting the personal training sessions the gym provided. The trainer also told the member and the buddy (at the same time) that the workout package ($100.00 per month for 1 session per week) would be for both the member and the buddy. Since September 10, 2012, both member and the buddy have gone to the training sessions together. Member is not in default of the contract.ZX Fitness was acquired by Quest Fitness. At no time did the member receive any notification (by mail) that this had taken place. It was only through gossip at the gym that we found this out. So, now by a small sign at the gum, member and buddy were advised that the buddy would no longer be allowed without paying an additional payment for each time. So, now member and buddy (who are sharing the costs) are no longer workout partners at Quest Fitness due to this change. After calling the customer service number, I was advised that I would have to buy out the contract. My question is, why is Quest Fitness not obligated to honor the contract but the member is? Even though Quest Fitness' rules are that buddies pay each time, Quest Fitness should still be required to honor the contract until the contract has expired.Desired Settlement: I am not sure if a settlement can be reached. It is only desired that it is unfair that the consumer is penalized when they do not honor a contract but it is an okay business practice for the business not to honor the contract.

Review: We joined the gym and personal training 4 times a month Feb. 26 2013 and was told we have a 3 day grace period to cancel. We submitted proof of id and a written letter, but billing department doesn't seem to show it. We never thought about this gym until last week when we had gotten billed for 2 separate transactions of 20.00 dollars each, then April 3rd 2013, we get billed 160.00 which was equivalent to 40 dollars for 4 sessions with the personal trainer. First off, we haven't did any personal training because that along with the gym membership were cancelled around the same time, yet two months later we get billed. I show them my bank statement with the charges at the local gym, and they tell me, they don't have personal trainers anymore, and that they didn't know National Fitness Healthclub which is who they were contracted with according to a representative named [redacted], which also stated that ZX Fitness was suppose to submit the cancellation which didn't happen because it's not showing in anyone's system. I called the former personal trainer and he tells me that the personal trainers along with other staff members were laid off 3/13/13, escorted by the police dept. So once again, how do I get billed in Apr. when the personal trainers were laid off 3/13/13. Also, why would they have a contract with National Fitness Healthclub if their aren't any personal trainers according to the GM [redacted], and his employee [redacted]. They keep screening my calls lying and telling me they are looking into it and will call me and my husband back, and we have not yet to hear anything from them 2 days later. I emailed corporate, and everyone seems to be passing the blame between the two companies. Bottom line, they took my money without my authorization. This company went from, Peak Fitness to ZX Fitness, and now they say Quest Fitness. This company is unstable and will continue to charge you unless ZX submit the paperwork in a timely manner.Desired Settlement: 200.00 the 160 and the 40 dollars from the suppose to be cancelled gym membership and personal training membership which no one seems to find the paperwork to.

Review: I previously filed a complaint about this company due to undisclosed business information and had a difficult time with their Management Staff trying to cancel mine and my husbands memberships. I was finally able to complete the paperwork for the cancellations and ended up paying two cancellation fees($59.99x2=$119.98) and one month of memberships dues($20+$29). I was assured that everything would be taken care of and I would not be charged anything else. I was reviewing my bank statement on May 10th and saw that I was charged again the membership dues for the month of May, I signed the cancellation request on 03/16/2013. I am furious at this point in time because it appears that nothing has been "taken care of". I am contact the Revdex.com to help me resolve this issue for good since none of their staff seems capable of doing so. I have contact my bank and requested a stop payment on the charges recently applied to my account and also had a block put on the vendor since this company is no longer authorized to make automatic drafts.Desired Settlement: I just want this taken care of once and for all. I am tired of going around in circles with this company with no resolve. Thank you for your time.
