Quick Check Smog

Review: I had previously had a failed smog done at this office, and a re-smog would have been $44.00. I had been having some semsor issues which I was told are very difficult to resolve, there were seven and only six out of my seven had reset. So the owner gave me some very speceific instructions on how to resolve this issue (purely out of kindness) and said, "Come back and I will resmog you for $20."He wrote a note to that effect on my paperwork and initialed it.I followed his instructions, and went in today(05/03/13) to have my car re-smogged.In addition to smog, this station also rents U-Hauls, and my partner and I are moving in a couple weeks. So, I had promised the owner, inexchange for giving me a re-smog deal, I would recommend him to my friends, which I did and one of them was ready to go in this weekend....not anymore! And I will NOT be returning for and U-Haul rentals either.So, when I arrived I showed the man at the counter, [redacted], my paperwork, explained the deal made by the owner and his initialed notes on my paperwork. This man begins to raise his voice at me, telling me "No, I don't konw what you think yoiu are doing, but we don't do that. And furthermore I don't know who wrote that. I'm not doing your smog. Noway."I said,"You're kidding???? I'm here, paying for a service...giving you money, and have a deal with the owner and yoiu won't help me?""No, and you can leave and come back...and tossed my paperwork at me.I asked him is I could speak to the owner, he said he wasn't calling him. That I needed to leave.At this point, an older, kinder gentleman stepped in, (the original owner since 1971-Father In Law to the current Owner) and told [redacted], "You WILL smog her vehicle.I left paying $20, plus cert fee.I will never, ever go back there, recommend anyone. The owners are nice, but [redacted] their smog guy really needs a lesson in customer service.I'm left wondering...was it my gay sticker? Was it that I'm a white female and [redacted] is a Mexican man? Don't know.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from [redacted] and to here from the current owner, the Son In Law whom signed my paperwork and so pleasantly dealt with me in the beginning.[redacted] The wasy [redacted] spoke to me....I actually called a family member who is a police officer locally. He scared me to death! He doesn't know my history, you cannot start yelling at people like that. Its freakin scary!!!!
