Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.
I chose the "reject" option because I do not want the Revdex.com complaint to
be closed.  I am willing to allow the business to come evaluate the roof
problems, but after 20+ attempts to install the roof correctly, I do
not believe they can deliver the leak free roof I paid for.  Allowing the company to look at the roof is not the solution we seek, but I am willing to let them do so if it will convince them to refund the money I paid.  The company will need to evaluate the roof and propose a solution on or before September 18, 2015.Additionally, for the record, there were numerous incorrect statements in the business's response.  We can address those (and provide proof)  if the company is not able to provide an agreeable solution after evaluating the roof.

It is unfortunate that the coatng system has leaked.  The coating was applied above and beyond the manufactuer specifications.  I believe the barn has to much movement in the structure and is causing the membrane to break.  This was not our recomendation but an attempt at a solution...

to solve until you were able to replace the roofing system. The warranty was only for a year but you were sent the certificate as if the replacement that was originally bid was completed.  I would like to come out and look at the coating on your conveinence.  I just need to see where it has leaked.  I would like to get the coating manufacturer representiive out to see why this has not worked.  If it is the movement of the system and there is not a coating that can be applied then I will refund the money.  I believe we are dealing with a couple of places where the leak is limited to a drip.  We had 31 inches of rain in a month earlier this year.  We have come out every time a call was made.  Most of the leak issues were last year.  Again this was an attempt to help and I believe you know that.  If I can not make it right I will refund.  Please let me know when I can visit.[redacted]

I apologize for the frustration Mrs. [redacted] has experienced.  We have tried as a company to ensure her satisfaction.  Many of the issues stem from a tile roofing system that the insurance company did not pay to replace.  They made the assessment that the tile roofing was not damaged...

due to the hail storm that effected the McAllen area in 2012.  Leaks occured from the area of the tile roofing system causing sheet rock damage.  These leaks also created a stain on the wood floor.  In a gesture of good will toward Mrs. [redacted] we replaced the tile roofing system at no expense to her and also helped by repairing sheet rock and paint.  I feel that we went above and beyond in this situation by doing work and repairing work that was not in our contract and that we received no compensation for.  I do not feel it is fair for me to be asked to pay for flooring as well in this situation.  We have repaired stucco areas that are being referenced.  Expansion joints within a stucco exterior are necessary to prevent further cracking in the system.  I have tried to be fair with regard to the work and warranty on Mrs. [redacted]'s home.  I do not feel any further compensation is owed but will pay $2,500.00 to settle this matter and to be relieved of future obligations to Mrs. [redacted]'s home.  If she agrees to this a check will be mailed to address she specifies immediately.[redacted]

This has all been resolved as of 3/1/2017. There was a lost check for the final payment. On 3/16/2017 Mr. [redacted] informed the office that he had the replacement check in hand. Once we received the final amount for depreciation and supplement, the adjustment was made to the invoice. They will have no...

out of pocket cost on the supplement a final invoice was emailed for the corrected amount.  Once we figured out we had a check lost in transit and Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] verified that the check was never cashed it opened the communication needed to file for a replacement check. Quick Roofing has updated the procedures we have, to increased security measures on how to handle a customer payment in the field. This will not be an issue in the future. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] have been extremely patient with us and we are very thankful for their kindness and business.     Thank You, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like to be notified by the company so we can schedule a day and time the work can be completed.  My contact number is ###-###-####.  Any weekend is good except May 5-7, 2017.   May 8, 2017 is good but it will have to be after 2:00 p.m.  Any other days will have to be discussed.

I have met with Ms. [redacted] and had a great conversation.  We have done an inspection and going out Monday to do some minor punch out.

Hello,The statements made by [redacted] are simply not true.  After four years of calling, emailing, and arguing with them they finally fixed the flat roof and the tile roof but even after that there was still water leaking into my townhouse that contributed to the damaged walls, beams and wood flooring.  My renter at the time dealt with 2 1/2 years of water leaks.  Every time it rained he had to set out buckets in several places because the water would just gush through the ceiling and drip down the walls.  Even after Quick Roofing finally repaired the tile roof my renter called me AGAIN after the first rain because the problem continued.   I once again contacted Quick Roofing and their contractor ([redacted]s) found that water was still coming in from the back of the house due to the horrible stucco job that had been done previously by them.  She spoke to them and sent them pictures and all they allowed her to do was patch it up again.  I had leaks coming from both the flat and tile roof along with the cracked stucco walls - the leaks weren't only coming from the tile roof.  I have pictures of all the patchwork - they just applied caulking and never properly fixed the stucco which just resulted in more cracks, holes, and bubbled areas. The last email I received from [redacted] was on 1/27/16 where he said he would get someone to look at all the cracks in the stucco to get it repaired but as usual I never heard back from anyone.  He also sent me an email on 1/21/16 asking me to send him the bid for the flooring because he knew he was responsible for the damage caused by the roof.  I've called 4 times since then and also sent a couple of emails but this company never followed up!  It's also very disappointing that I'm the one that had to bid out the jobs and look for the flooring - I spent many days looking and meeting with installers because the wood floor had been discontinued.  Instead of changing all the floor all I asked them to do was repair the damaged areas and even that has been nothing but a hassle.  I have also had several people go out to the townhouse and look at the stucco work that was done by Quick Roofing.  I've received a couple of estimates and the lowest one for just fixing the walls with caulking, holes and cracks is $6700.00. Quick Roofing should have fixed these issues correctly a long time ago. and they're obligated to do so because my warranty doesn't expire until 2019!  I seriously think they're trying to prolong these repairs so the warranty can expire.   If [redacted] wants to be relieved of all future obligations then I will accept the $2500.00 for the floor repair and $6300.00 for the stucco repair and we no longer have to deal with one another.  I believe that what I'm asking for is fair because I choose the least expensive flooring repair option, stucco estimate and I didn't include how much rent I lost from my renter leaving due to all these issues.  If he agrees to this I'll deal with the pending repairs myself but I would need a check for $8800.00 and I'll relieve Quick Roofing of all its future warranty obligations.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I have been working with [redacted] from Quick Roofing, [redacted]. I sent the claim paperwork to GAF and am waiting for their response to the claim. I called [redacted] and left him a voicemail yesterday with where we're at. Now I'm just waiting on GAF.

I've received two phone calls and one email message with a revised final invoice and I accepted that final invoice. As long as there are no more changes to the amount due, etc. I'm OK with the resolution. I've sent the final payment based on the email and revised final invoice.

I am very sorry for another leak.  The last notification that we have had regarding leaking on your roof was on April 28, 2016 and it was for a very small leak.  Prior to that we came out and did a water test where we sprayed water for aproximately 15 minutes with no water seen after an...

attic inspection.  I would like to schedule a time to come out and look at what is going on with the roofing system.  Our repair was a very minor repair and we were never paid for that.  I want to make sure you are taken care of but we need to see where the water intrusion occurred.  With so many storms recently it could have blown off a portion of roofing.  I have been trying to call your number to set up a time to inspect but have had no answer.  Please call me on my cell phone and I will personally come out to inspect the problem and come up with a solution.

I understand Mrs. [redacted] frustration.  We always want to do the right thing.  In regard to the system installed we have installed per the manufacturer specifications.  I believe many of the leaks that are being referenced are because a solution was not made during the extreme amount of rain in the May and June time frame.  The last two leaks that we had to fix were due to screws backing out of the metal roof and through the coating that was placed on the roof.  I do not believe there are any current leaks on the facility but screws backing through the membrane is not due to defective labor on my part.  As stated before we were trying to come up with cost effective solutions for Mrs. [redacted] when coming up with a coating system.  The coating will work and last 10+ years without a re-coat.  I have spent $2500.00 above the contract to make the system work.  It has taken effort but I believe the system will last.  My only issue with not giving a full refund is that I have not installed the system wrong.  There is not a company around that would continue to warranty the product if screws are backing through the system.  I have never tried not to complete a call under warranty.  I do not think the system will have any other leaks unless a screw backs through.  If people are kept off the roofing system this should not be happening.  If a leak occurs I can have someone out to fix it.  The warranty will be upheld.  I offered 3500.00 refund if they want to look at other options.  I will increase to $3,800.00 and recommend we see what happens with the upcoming rains.  [redacted], vice president of Quick Roofing water tested the roof and only found the one area to have a deficiency.[redacted]

The roof was replaced and an upgraded shingle was provided by the company due to the time it took to resolve this. We are satisfied that this issue has been resolved.
