Quick's Bus Company Reviews (2)

Review: On 16 November a contract was executed between myself and Quick's for three charter buses. The contract specifies that each bus will be available for an 8 hour time block and up to 200 miles. It also specifies pickups and drop offs will be in [redacted], as directed. On 26 April a bus itinerary was confirmed between myself and Quick's which stipulated that the three contracted buses each were making separate drop offs at the end of the night. On the night of the event, the buses did not follow the specified itinerary and the drivers made a decision to change the itinerary without checking with me. They did this because guests boarded the buses without knowing the destination points and thought this would be easier. However, I was the paying customer and I would have preferred that I was consulted so we could utilize the third bus which wound up returning to [redacted] empty.Desired Settlement: The service out to the venue was as expected, but the service back to town was unacceptable. I paid for the use of three buses, but by the end of the night was only given the option of using two. Each bus cost $850 and I would like to be returned the cost for the third bus which Quick's was contractually obligated to allow me to use, but didn't.

Response:

Thank you for forwarding the complaint below for our response. On November 16, 2015, the customer contracted with Quick's Bus Company for three buses to provide transportation for her wedding. The pick-up location was noted as "[redacted] hotels as directed" to be transferred to "[redacted]" and back. A week prior we contacted the customer to confirm times, bus sizes and number of buses needed. At that time, she requested an additional drop at the end of the evening, which we were able to accommodate. The drivers were staged at the end of the evening, three buses in a row. As the guests came out of the venue, they just began boarding the buses. The driver of the third bus attempted to direct the guests to her bus. The guests continued to load only the first two buses. Because there was no coordinator present to assist with the loading, the drivers took on additional drops so as not to inconvenience the guests. Please understand that our drivers are not wedding coordinators, they are contracted to transport the guests safely. It is not their job to direct guests, question guests or relocate guests from bus to bus, that is the job of a coordinator or point person on-site. They are expected to be flexible, and at times have taken on additional drops/locations to not inconvenience the customer. All three buses departed the venue and drove to [redacted] to drop at all locations. The third bus, which no one chose to board, also drove to [redacted] and did not return home until the other buses had dropped all guests. The customer had access to that bus for the duration of her contracted time. It is not the company's fault that the guests chose not to board the third bus, even after being directed to that bus. The customer was never at any time denied use of the third bus -- her guests just chose not to board that bus.Again, Quick's Bus Company would like to apologize that the customer was unhappy with the end of the night, however, we feel that our drivers did the best job they could given the lack of communication and absence of an on-site coordinator. In fact, we feel that they went above and beyond what was expected of them, taking on additional routes at the end of the evening so as not to inconvenience any guests or the customer. In addition, the customer had access to all three buses for the duration of the contracted time. The third bus did not leave early even though she was completely empty, which was verified using our bus tracking system. The customer was charged $850 per bus, which is our minimum charge for any trip under 8 hours and less than 200 miles. I have attached a copy of the signed contract. If you need any additional information or clarification, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely,Shannon Quick

QUICKS BUSES OUT OF STAUNTON, VIRGINIA...THIER BUS DRIVERS ARE CLUELESS!! THEY HAVE NOT BEEN PROPERLY TRAINED NOR DO THEY FOLLOW ETIQUETTE ON OUR INTERSTATES. THEY CONTINUE TO DRIVE IN THE FAR LEFT LANE (WHICH IS THE PASSING LANE, AND FOR FASTER MOVING VEHICLES). THEY CREATE ROAD RAGE IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BECAUSE THEY ARROGANTLY STAY IN THE LEFT LANE FOR HUNDREDS OF MILES!! OTHER VEHICLES ARE HAVING TO HONK AND FLASH THIER LIGHTS AT THEM SIGNING TO MOVE OVER (ON A FOUR LANE HWY, MIND YOU) AND THEY WILL NOT MOVE! VEHICLES ARE THEN FORCED TO SPEED AHEAD JUST TO GET AROUND THEM. PLAIN AND SIMPLE...THIS CAUSES ACCIDENTS. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIER PASSENGERS LIVES, AND THIS IS COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE! WHEN I CALLED THIS COMPANY TO COMPLAIN, THE OWNER HUNG UP ON ME...I ENCOURAGE PEOPLE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY TO SEARCH THE INTERNET, AS THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS LODGED AGAINST THIS DISRESPECTFUL COMPANY!!
