Low quality products and poor customer service

Review: On ** January 2015 I placed an internet order to purchase an [redacted] garage door opener which I was told would be shipped to me later in the year. That same day (** January) my credit card was billed for the amount of the [redacted], $108.62. On * June 2015 I learned via email that the product had been discontinued and that I would be receiving a refund. After a few days I had not heard anything more about my refund so I contacted the company. I was told someone would be in touch in within a week. Almost 3 weeks passed without any word so I contacted them again. A few days passed with no reply so I tried again. I was given the name of someone in customer service and that person was also copied on the email, so I assumed they would pick it up from there. I waited about a week and heard nothing from customer service. As a final courtesy I sent another email to the customer service person on * July and as of * July have not received a reply.Desired Settlement: I would like $108.62 refunded to me immediately.

Review: An order for 2 monitor stands was placed on 12/*/2014. An email confirming my order was received and my account was immediately debited. An attempt to contact the merchant on 12/*/14 regarding order status was ignored and unanswered.Desired Settlement: Full refund

Review: I placed an order with [redacted] on Monday, December [redacted] at 4:20pm EST. The website promised delivery by Christmas, and my email confirmation stated that [redacted] ground would deliver in 4-8 days.

I then received a subsequent email stating I had placed my order after 6pm EST [In fact, it was placed at 4:20pm EST] and I may not receive my gifts in time for Christmas. I then responded and requested they send me an update on the shipping status, so I could buy alternative presents if the delivery was not received in time. The first email went unanswered after several days, so I sent 3 additional follow up emails. I also tried calling customer support 4 times, each time I was disconnected after holding for 20+ minutes. Furthermore, on one of these calls a recording stated I was " first in the queue and a representative would be with me shortly" I was then put on hold for over 30 minutes, only to be disconnected.

In addition to contacting quirky via email and phone, I also posted on the support forum. I did not receive a response here, but I did see there were a lot of other people dealing with the same exact problem.

This company's communication is a complete disgrace and it should be able to continue.Desired Settlement: I want my order fulfilled.

I also want Quirky to change their communication policy, or hire a staff that is equipped to handle the high volume of orders they seem to be receiving.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience caused by the slow response to email we had over the holidays. We were unprepared for the huge volume increase that was caused by increased interest in our products. I do see that the customer received her package on December ** (within the shipping window we provided at time of order) and that we gave her a $25 Gift Card to apologize for the problems she had contacting us. If there are further issues please have her contact me directly.

Review: Quirky sent an email stating that all "influencers' to their company could have a cash payout if the balance was over $50 and that it would take about 3-4 business days to process. I sent in my necessary paperwork and they sent back an email to me stating that I could take out my money at any time. I went to the website on July [redacted] and asked for the payout. My account now states this: 07/**/2015 Cashout on 07/**/2015 $ (225.53). I have yet to receive this money. I went to the website today to look for a customer service number, I called and an automated voice came on saying that they did not have the necessary funds to have a customer service right now. I then tried to call any other numbers listed. No answer on any of these lines. I then sent an email and received the same response as the voicemail: [redacted]. [redacted].

I never received an email stating that Quirky was having any issues on their end regarding these payouts and there is no one to get a hold of. If someone states that they will give me my earned money then I would like to receive that money.Desired Settlement: I would like to get what I was promised from the beginning: my money.
