Rainford's Lube & Oil, Inc. Reviews (3)

I have talked with the customer about this and the police. We watched camera footage from the entire service and were never able to see anything removed from car. I told the customer that I could not see anything removed from the car BUT if they provided me with documentation from Verizon that it...

was reported lost/stolen and when the last cellular data was used I would reimburse them for it. It has been 2 weeks and they have provided nothing.

Review: On 6/20/15 my ex husband, my son, and a family friend waited at Jiffy Lube while the car was being serviced. One male drove the car in/out of the bay, another male vacuumed the front carpet. When it was time to pay a 25% discount was taken off the entire bill, and as they walked out the door they were called back in and also given a free oil change on their next visit. Five minutes up the road my son discovered the LG Pad 8.3 LTE Tablet was missing. The tablet was left in the console charging. The keyboard case, and charging cord were sitting exactly the same as they were left, but the tablet had been removed from the case. One of the two males who work at this location stole our tablet from our vehicle while working for Jiffy Lube. The store manager and district manager are aware of this situation. In the mean time all the private information on the tablet is gone. My family is out the $260 for the tablet, and unfortunately paid $270 to Jiffy for this TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! To top it off they changed the oil, but left the old oil filter on the car. However, we were charged for a new one. This business is A 100% RIP OFF ~ Stay Away!Desired Settlement: I have the receipt and would like this item replaced. I saw no sign that said to remove all valuables from my car because the employees can and will steal from you. One of the two men that was in the stole from my family, and we deserve to have our item back or a credit equivalent to the value of the tablet which was purchased ten months ago.

Review: Last month, I had the oil in my car changed there. They pushed an overpriced deal, I went with a basic oil change. They lost my oil plug, put whatever plug they had handy in there. They told me the threads were worn out on my oil pan and I would have to buy I new one or take it to a shop to have it re-threaded. He said "they get old, they wear out." I believe they lost my oil plug, ruined my oil pan threads and expected to charge me for the new plug, (which I would not agree to pay for). They attempted to sell me some other services I did not want, then tried to convince me that irregardless of mileage, it was very important that I brought it in for another change by July-- again, irregardless of mileage. As if the oil would go bad. Technically, if it sits for years, the additives may break down, but not after 3 months. When I got back into my vehicle, whomever there that touched it last had inserted my locking gas cap key into the ignition instead of the ONLY car ignition key on the chain. They do not look alike at all. The gas key says GAS on it. Today, I was at the [redacted] store ([redacted]) when another customer comes in complaining that a shop had stripped the threads on his oil pan and he would have to have it replaced or machined, which seemed ridiculous if you are careful. I asked which shop. The very same. The clerk said that was not the first he had heard of similar outcomes from the same Jiffy Lube. He said they did something like that to his aunt and her car began leaking oil, like running the engine dry. I don't know if they run a racket where they refer people somewhere for repairs or if the staff is simply reckless and incompetent, but in either case, they need to stop damaging people's vehicles. Removing, retaining and re-inserting an oil plug properly is a subset of reasonable expectation of the services they offer at an oil change shop in my opinion. I want made whole and for them to do their job rightDesired Settlement: I want made whole and for them to do their job right. Repaired or replaced oil pan, OEM oil plug. Investigation into similar incidents.
