Review: Company came out to repair part on my oven after I orderd part they refused to repair because they were upset part was not orderd through them and also damaged my appliance when taking out old original partDesired Settlement: Either he repairs job that was paid for or reimbursement of part orderd and part damaged and also refund of service charge

Business states that consumer was charged for a service that was rendered but was unable to be completed due to consumer failure to contact the business. Initially, business was called out to service an oven. Business quoted consumer a price for the replacement part but consumer declined purchase by the business as they wished to purchase the part on his own. Business informed consumer that he usually does not install parts purchased by consumers but was making an exception in this case. Two weeks later consumer calls business to install the part. Business went ahead and worked around his schedule to install the part but unfortunately the oven was not operating properly after the installation. At that point, business needed more time to diagnose the issue but consumer was irate and business could not negotiate a solution. The next day the business called the consumer but consumer was busy and said he would contact business back to set up an appointment. Consumer never called business back and this complaint is the first time he hears back from the customer since that call. If the business would have purchased the part and it was indeed defective then the business would be obliged to obtain a replacement. Business is willing to return to customer household to properly diagnose the problem at a time that would be fit for both parties. Business would like consumer to contact them directly to set up an appointment so the issue may be resolved.
