*** and ***

I used them to install a water softener in my garage They ran the drain line into the attic, drilled a hole in the drain vent and pushed vent hose into vent without properly securing it to the pipe Several months later after several softener discharge cycles, there was water coming though the ceiling in the hallway and kitchen It took two AC repair contractors and two additional plumbers to eventually find the exposed drain line tube under the insulation after it worked its way out of the hole in the vent pipeI called Chad to confirm that he had installed the drain line in the vent pipe and he said he uses that technique "all the time" When I asked him how he attaches the drain line to the pipe, he became hostile and accused me of interrogating him and "telling him how to do his f'n job", adding that he's been a plumber for over years and hung up the phone on me! When it was all said and done, the improper installation of the drain line caused over $17,in damages to the walls, kitchen cabinets and appliances plus fees for a water remediation company, mold inspectors and the cost to properly connect the drain line itself - not to mention the hours I've had to spend dealing with contractors for the repairs If you've had a water softer installed by Rapid Rooter Plumbing in Phoenix, I highly recommend checking the placement of the drain line (to start)All the contractors that looked at the damage suggested that the drain line should've been routed through the garage wall and secured to the vent pipe immediately outside of the house, not in the attic
