Review: The original complaint was with the air conditioning system in my 2001 [redacted] pick-up truck that I purchased from Rappahannock Motors Inc. in 2002. Water was leaking into the floor board of the truck on the passenger side. It would be soaking wet. This issue was brought to the attention of Rappahannock Motors Inc., employees during several trips to the business. I was told water was coming in through the back glass of the truck and causing the floor board to be wet. They did so-called repairs on the truck last year (2012), and in April of this year, I paid them over $2,000.00 for repairs. I was told the problem had been corrected with that repair. As soon as the warm season came in and I tried to use my air conditioning, I had the same problem. I called them and took the truck back to Rappahannock Motors and told them the same problem was occurring. Again they, tell me that water was coming into the truck from the back glass. There had been no rain for well over a week when I discovered the wet floor again after using the air conditioning.Desired Settlement: $2,357.04. Some of that amount was for a service charge.

Inspected vehicle for water leak, found vehicle leaking at rear glass. Customer advised he smelled coolant in cab, found heating core starting to leak and rear glass leaking. Removed and replaced heater core at customer's request. Customer stated vehicle still leaks at rear glass. Service Manager and Shop Foreman attempted to show customer where leak is coming from. customer got upset and started using bad language. Customer would not let service dept advise and display leak. Customer wants repairs reimbursed due to multiple leaks in the vehicle. Released vehicle to customer.

I am not satisfied with this resolution because I spent almost $2,000 for repair work on the truck and the problem still exists. I never said the leak was coming from the rear glass. That was their determination from the first time I took the truck to them while the warranty was still on the truck. The wetness is in the passenger side floor of the truck. If the water is coming in from the rear glass why is there no wetness or dampness anywhere else but the floorboard? As far as the bad language statement. I have a witness to verify that I did not use bad language and that I never said the water was coming in the rear glass. Also, when they allegedly removed and replaced the heater core, they broke my ashtray and they won't close anymore. I am very dissatisfied with this company's service. I feel they should give me some or all of my money back as the problem has not been resolved.

[redacted] from the company stated the vehicle was tested and the test concluded that the leak was coming from the third brake light. The company offered to show the customer how they came to that conclusion but the customer refused. Company is willing to seal the leak at no charge to the customer with the customer's permission.
